Obviously you're not going to go out running in these shorts. I might venture outside to take the trash out wearing nothing but these but I've done that with just a pair of tighty whities before. These shorts are really nice for lounging around the house (depending on who is there with you), and GREAT for sleeping. These shorts are a half step above sleeping naked. Fit seems fine on me but I'm very thin with a small butt so depending on your build you may or may not wear these comfortably.

I like these because they're not tight on the legs or crotch area. At the same time, the legs are short enough that I don't experience them riding up. I'm 5'5" tall about 160 lbs. Waist is probably a 32. I bought large and they fit great.
