Works as advertised. My mailbox is 300 feet from the house and 7 feet below grade. This box detects my WiFi at that distance and send an Email to my computer every time the box is opened. I need the exercise but don't like walking that far in the cold unless I know the mail has come. Thanks, MySpool!
Important to remember that the unit needs to connect with your home Wi-Fi.

Product performs as advertised, works great. I actually extended the wire between the mailbox sensor and Wi-Fi control box. I ran the wires inside weather proof plastic conduit buried underground from mailbox to my detached garage. This brought the unit closer to my Wi-Fi signal and easier to change the batteries whenever needed. It's nice to get alerts both text & email when the mail arrives.

so far so good. My cell vibrates and I get a message "Youve got mail" Very original, right?? I have a metal box, so unit is external on a 4 by 4. I really like this thing. Hope the battery lasts for a long time.

I was a little skeptical when I bought the Mailbox alert. I am no longer skeptical. It does exactly what it was advertised to do. I have been impressed on how reliable it is. The fact that it reports battery life is a plus. It takes a little bit of setup but after that it has worked very well. I would recommend it.

Works exactly as described. I'm a retired EE and this device is impressive -- nicely built and works well. For best results face the top or back of the box toward your WiFi system. I love that it reports the battery level, so you won't be surprised by low batteries. I suggest Energizer Lithium batteries for low temperature operation here in the snow belt.
