Great design, but the foam padding is too soft. Not enough support, bones bottom out!

I think the design of this seat is great and it appears well made, but the foam is very soft -- too soft for it to do a good job of distributing weight on your sit bones (and further forward when riding in a more aggressive posture). I'm 188lbs and I find that I sit too deeply in this seat which means pressure on nerves and arteries around the pelvis. I cannot take more than 30 minutes on this seat in street shorts. NEEDS TWICE THE DENSITY OF FOAM and it would be a good seat. Almost a great inexpensive product!

I'll give this saddle 4 âï¸ for comfort plus 1 âï¸ For value. I bought a new Fuji mountain bike and sold my old one. Should have swapped seats first! I don't know why they even put seats on new bikes. It would be better if they sold the bike $20 cheaper and you could pick out a suitable saddle. Anyway, I'm 6'2" 175lb. and I have a bony butt. I need a bit more padding. This is a very comfortable seat for trail riding. I also prefer the open split design as it puts less pressure on the junk. All for a fraction of the cost of the others! And as a bonus the neon green trim matches my bike perfectly.

First ride using this seat tonight, 16 miles on my road bike. First impressions are great, very comfortable...I have been struggling with stock bike seats on both my mountain and road bikes for a while now. My stock bike seat is almost exactly the same size as this one so it must have something to do with the fatty gel they use and the venting...I live in South Texas so it is very hot here.

This seat is nicely padded. The last one I had was too hard and made the bike hard to ride for very long. I'll keep an eye on the stapled underside. I'm hoping it holds well. My physical therapist recommended using a bicycle instead of walking because of a torn menicus . So I'm swapping out seats. Plus you can see my cat likes it too...lol
