Great shears. I do love them. After years of upholstery my wrist was really bothering me do to "Work."
These shears cut like nothing else I have ever had. I was thinking of buying a rottery cutter for $300 ish. but no need to any longer.
Very sharp, Most fabrics you just slid the shears and cut heavy upholstery grade fabric. Vinyl is like butter, Just push and cut. My wrist thanks the maker at Kai. I have bought them as gifts for friends. Best ever.

OUTSTANDING shears! the reviews I studied before purchasing this pair of scissors wrote truthfully. These are absolutely the best ones I've ever owned. I'd been using a pair of Fiskars which had been just fine, but then I began cutting four strips at a time of a heavier fabric so I could finish crocheting a rug. The Fiskars could not quite do the job, so I laid them aside and waited until the Kai shears arrived. My, oh, my, it WAS like cutting through butter! Such a wise investment and one day one of my daughters will get these and be so happy.

These scissors are AMAZING!!! I'm a professional upholstery seamstress so I use scissors all day long and have to cut through some very thick fabric. For the past 10 years I've used nothing but Wiss or Mundial Stainless Steel Shears until a local sewing supplier recommended these Carbon Steel shears to me. He let me sample the 2 scissors next to each other and it was a day and night difference, truly! While both scissors can cut through thick leather or denim with some ease, these scissors made cutting through them absolutely effortless, like cutting through butter. While the other scissors took a little extra effort.

As far as the design of these scissors I love how light they feel along with the handle design. When using the other scissors my fingers used to hurt after a days worth of cutting because of the constant rubbing/holding of the hard metal handle against them but not with these scissors. They are so easy to use and not hard on the hands like the other scissors. I'll never buy anything else again as these are truly amazing scissors.

Also, just as a side note:
I purchased the 10" shears which work good but they are a 1/2" shorter in the cutting area compared to the 10" Mundial sheers. So if you're changing from Weiss or Mundial to these sheers then I'd recommend getting the 11" as I notice the 1/2" shorter difference when cutting.

These scissors have the best blades and smoothest cutting I've ever used in decades of sewing. HOWEVER the handles are huge. I have large hands for a woman (they'd be average for a man, size 9 gloves) and I can't begin to open them all the way. And it's a good thing the openings in the handles are also very large, because the inside of the thumb hole has a very rough, sharp mold edge. I'm going to pad them with silicon tape since there is plenty of room, and use them anyway, but the ridiculous size and sloppy finishing on the handle are a disappointment.

So I bought these Kai Professional Shears for my wife because of a review that I read where someone had rated them top of the line in comparison to all the other shears on the market.
Well, out of all the shears and scissors that we have ever owned, the Kai 7250's are certainly number 1. They are tough, built-to-last, and razor sharp. The Japanese steel that they are made out of is incredibly strong and it enables the scissors to keep their edge for years to come.
I used to think Gingher were the absolute best, but I would put these higher on the charts because they are tougher and constructed for the professional who is going to need to effortlessly cut through clothes on a daily basis.
The rubber handle is dense and heavy. These are true quality! worth it!
