Bought this sleep pad for my first backpacking trip in the SC mountains. It was fairly easy to inflate and comfortable to sleep on. I am primarily a side and stomach sleeper and I slept well. It deflates easily by using the cap to hold the valve open very compact and light to carry. Took up very little room in my pack.
Well worth the money

This is my first inflatable pad for camping. I have only used foam previously. This inflates easily and quickly in about a dozen breaths. I've seen some complaints about the positioning of the inflation point being under where your head would lay. I had no issues with that and didn't feel it under my head, and if you use a pillow there are zero worries. I'm 6-1 and 230 lbs, and when the mat was on the ground I never touched bottom, even when I roll on my side. However, it is pretty narrow and barely long enough for my height. I also used it in a hammock when temps were in the 60s and it worked well as an insulator. The first time I used it felt like it lost some air, but I think it just stretched a bit because it held air all night on the second use. All and all, I'm very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone smaller than me. I may have to look for something else, but that's not really the fault of the mat, I'm just too tall for it.
I put over 1800 miles on 1... it'll last!

The only reason I'm giving it a 4-star instead of 5 stars is because of the R value rating on the mat and the customer service while on trail. Anything below 50 degrees without a thicker sleeping bag will leave you cold(they say 45). The only time you're truly completely off the ground with this mat is when you're laying completely flat and even on your side(bonus). Sitting up, you're sitting on the ground and feel the cold coming through. I'm 6', 170lbs. Also the mat doesn't stay in place. If you're on any kind of slope or a restless sleeper... you're waking up with your face in the tent wall from a sliding mat or your bag walking on ya. When over inflated it feels like it could pop but held strong ,but got better sleep when it wasn't.I took very good care not to sleep on rocks and crazy bed poppers but, I did have a problem with the valve holding air. Company said they would replace if I could find a place to submerge the mat to find the leak. I WAS HIKING THE APPALACHIAN TRAIL ..... during a drought.... getting water from milk jug caches at trailheads ,BECAUSE the rivers dried up. I was told "from one thru hiker to the next" they'll replace it "this one time"...? I thought it had a lifetime Warranty??? Also inflates and deflates faster than thermorests and many others that cost more than double. Also doesn't sound like your sleeping on blown up garbage bags!!! Not the greatest, but worth the price for a budget hiker!

As a hammock camper there is always a huge problem with losing heat beneath you due to the open air and compression of your sleeping bag. A lot of campers use a foam mat to prevent the heat loss, so I decided to try an inflatable air mat, and it worked beautifully!
Starting from the top:
-Inflation is super quick and easy with a one way valve, less than a minute and this bad boy is ready to take me away to Dreamland so I can recharge to tackle the next day.
-when set inside my hammock, this helps keep the shape of the hammock so it doesn't cocoon around my body as much as it normally would. This is good, I enjoy looking at the stars and having visibility of any super ninja Pennsylvanian black bears that may be trying to sneak up and eat my man flesh!
-One slight problem is that if I fidget, the mat may slide out from under me ever so slightly, but my hammock doesn't include a mat insert, and this mat doesn't boast that it won't slip, so it retains it's five star rating.
-This insulates the hammock as I wished it did. I don't even think it boasts that anywhere in the item description, but it does it fabulously.
-Deflation is super easy -- Open the valve and most of the air escapes, poke the valve in a little bit to prop it open, fold the sides in towards the middle, roll from the toe to the head, and the remaining air effortlessly eacapes. The included stuff sack then holds this bad boy in place in my bag so I don't have to worry about it taking up extra room and messing with the packing methods I employ.
One additional pro to purchasing this, is that it comes with a patch, just in case.
Overall, 5/5 would recommend this. I actually already have to my brother! Definitely worth every dollar I spent, which isn't a lot!

very easy to blow up- even after trekking for 8 hours. And they definitely stayed inflated unlike the ones provided by the people we were with. easy to deflate and pack back up, super lightweight and durable. They survived a night on a rocky bottom and made all the difference.
