Actually a decent board, espectially for a 3 year old.

Was seriously shocked at the quality of this board. I was a skater in my youth and got this for my 3 year old son's first board, knowing I would need to upgrade him as he grows.
I weigh 224 and I could ride this. I was totally expecting the board to flex like crazy or even break with my weight. But it held up. There is actually some pop in the board. The grip tape is decent. Is it fine textured like mob or Jessup, no way. But since most clear grip tape is not as fine, this one was ok. It gripped quite well.
Once I loosened the nut, the wheels spun quite well. Mine actually had abec bearings in there. I have seen "wal mart" like boards with bearings that stunk so bad that just putting in nylon bushings would have been better (not kidding).
My one complain is the wheels. I have no idea what they are made off or the durometer. They felt like plastic. From doing some slide, I could tell flat spots would develop. But for a 3 year old, this is fine.
One more thing, the trucks have a different hole pattern, so if you by chance liked the trucks and wanted to transfer them to another board, you can't. The holes are closer together. The trucks seem to be made of plastic, and while I didn't do crazy stuff on this board, it held my weight.

a cheap deck that feels like cardboard, garbage bearings and wheels

You get what you pay for.... $26 gets you plastic trucks, a cheap deck that feels like cardboard, garbage bearings and wheels, fake grip tape, and a big sticker on the bottom that peeled off after 2 days. Save your money and buy a real deck
Low price, low expectations. Great deck! However, poor-quality trucks/wheels/bearings.

Exactly what you'd expect for the money... As a toy that you don't want your kid to actually ride, it's totally fine. As an entry-skateboard for someone who actually wants to learn skating, you'll need to replace everything under the deck.
First, the individual wheels are not symmetrical, and the bearings are poorly manufactured, so the skateboard didn't roll right out of the packaging. I loosened up the nuts, and the wheels spun more freely (but not evenly), so it was hard to get anywhere. If you need a rideable Spiderman board, the wooden deck seems solid, but plan on replacing the trucks, wheels, and bearings.
I swapped out the bearings with some real skateboard bearings. These fit snugly in some of the included wheels, but loosely in other ones. You can get some decent replacements, like Bones Red Bearings, for $10 bucks - totally worth it. The skateboard rolls a lot better, even if it just for a kid sitting on it & riding down a hill.

Even Princesses can be Thrashers.

I read some pretty horrible reviews of this product. I haven't encountered anything yet. My daughter asked that I get her a skateboard so she could skate with me. Now I know that this is not Tony Hawk from Powell Peralta, or a Bones, but a board for a little girl to get the fundamentals down. I let her look at the mainstream boards from all kinds of makers, I was hoping that my little one was going to pick a Birdhouse, or a Powell, but she went for the Frozen like all 6 year old princesses do. No problems with the grip, trucks, wheels, board, or learning to turn and kick the tail to stop. So far so good, she isn't going to go out and freestyle like Rodney Mullen, or hit the half pipe like Mike McGill, but this board is great for tooling around the driveway with me while I try to relive my youth in the 1980s. Its a great beginner board for a little girl.
Cheaply made in China product

Big glob of glue on the front side of the skateboard, the shrink wrap is put over the wood platform and then the wheels are screwed on over the plastic so there is no way to get all the plastic off. Cheap, made in China product. Not what we expected for a Disney product.
