I was so excited to get this. There aren't too many cool things a contractor can buy. I thought this would be one of them. It's actually heavier then a plastic hard hat. It's not comfortable at all. Depending on how your head is shaped...this hat might not fit properly. Because of its lower profile...which I was excited about. The hat actually bottoms out and the top of my skull rubs against the hard carbon fiber. I gave mine to a co worker. He likes it because of the cool factor. It hurt my head and was heavier. Thumbs down from me.

Overall this is a good, comfortable hat. It's a good fit for the larger sized heads. I've had other similar hats that said up to 8 inches but barely fit 71/2. I don't have this problem with this hat. There's even room for a nice sweatband. The construction is good and durable. Now, the issues I have are with the suspension system. It is very flimsy. Parts of it will become disconnected and you will have to put it back together. I had this problem with other brands in the past also so this is not a deal breaker. The ratchet system is easy to use but it is the most flimsy part of the suspension system. Where other are more robust in this area, this one is not. Having said this, while it is on your head the hat will not move. You do not have to overly tighten the ratchet system anymore than normal for you. It works like it's supposed to while on you head. It's a good, light comfortable hat.

I liked the look of this hard hat... unfortunately nothing else was as expected when paying this price... headgear is HORRIBLE!!! Latches DO NOT stay on and it's uncomfortable. Had to take it off every 10 minutes to fix the damn thing... will not be wearing it anymore and will be sending it back... also it's heavier than my company issued hard hat. Going to spend the extra $$$ and get a carbon fiber one. This definitely is not worth the money.
