Great gift for boys who love race cars + dinosaurs!!

My 5yr old son watched a few blirps of Jurassic Park last week and when I saw this dinosaur themed racetrack I knew he would go ga-ga for it. I love the fact it will connect to his other magic track pieces. It also comes in a really nice box set so you can easily gift it. (Some of the magic track kits do not). This is a plus. I'm very pleased with it and can see myself buying the other add-on pieces.

When I opened the box there were 12 sets of tracks put together. So I initially thought I was missing pieces. Once I counted each individual track piece I came up with 145 pieces, just as it states on the box. Besides the tracks there are 46 pieces including each sticker.
The T Rex didn't stand very easily for me and there are 4 long grey pieces that I don't understand where they go. Might be my own stupidity. But there aren't any instructions except for a small piece of paper that has pictures to show how to put the track in the slopes.
Once put together it's very sturdy and the trees even clip to the track so you don't have to worry about them falling over. It takes a AA battery and my box didn't have one. But I always have those on hand so it wasn't a big deal to me. I was so glad it wasn't a watch battery or something expensive.
If your giving it as a gift you might want to pick up a couple batteries just in case. My grandson loved it! It's pretty cool. We had so many laughs:)

Our son loves these cars. These are good toy quality altho they are all plastic. Our 1.5 yr old is rough on his toys and the only prob I've had on the many cars we have is the plastic gears. I have took them apart and realigned the gears a few times but they are disposable toys. Will keep buying more as they break, as long as he plays with them

Lights on the bus don't work 😒. My 3 year old has been waiting a week for these so not going to return it. Very disappointing though. Other than that they seem to work fine. I love the fact that the cars take two AA batteries, instead of 3 AAA like his previous cars did.
