We needed a specific color for photos we were taking with our dog. We've used this leash for hikes/ runs/ walks usually because it was the closest thing near the front door. The leash is sturdy enough for most things, but I don't prefer it over the expensive leashes.
If you need a cool color or just walking your tiny dog, this should be fine. If you have a big dog and are doing more outdoor activities, I would suggest better quality items.

Leash is great so far. It's light weight, looks good and is comfortable to hold. It's held up so far after being abused by our German Shepard's tugging and pulling. I don't know how strong the bolt snap is but it feels incredibly light weight. I would prefer a heavier duty one for added confidence and durability. I would recommend this leash if your dog is tame and trained. If you got a bid dog that tugs and pulls a lot, I probably wouldn't feel to comfortable trusting it's durability.

We love this leash! The fact that it is still intact after a year of puppy abuse is amazing! We got our puppy at 9 weeks, and she was 16 lbs. She is now almost a year old, and she weighs almost 70 lbs. Her hobbies include LONG frequent walks and runs with this leash. It's been a challenge to get her to stop biting her leashes and trying to play tug a war. Other leashes would have shredded when faced with razor sharp puppy teeth, but not this one. I highly recommend it! If this leash eventually tires or we lose it, we will be back to purchase another.
