Thanks to Gilman Wong for his review. I decided to give the C19 a try after reading Gilman's review and very glad I did. This is the third brooks saddle I have purchased. My first was the leather B17 Carved and it was by far the best and most comfortable saddle. The trouble is I live in north Florida and bike everyday along a creek and stop at a swimming hole. The swim cools you down so when you finish your ride you don't keep sweating for an hour. I had a rain cover but my leather saddle still got some moisture and lost its shape.
I then started having sciatic pain down my right leg. I had never had it before. I went to a chiropractor. I am 66 and this was the first time seeing a chiropractor. After several appointments there was no improvement. I began to research sciatic pain and cycling and found the saddle might be part of the problem.
After finding out brooks made a waterproof saddle I though this would be the thing! I prefer to enjoy a cool swim and not worry about the waterproofing. I measured my sit bones via the wet cardboard depression method and ordered the Cambium C17 carved based on the measurements. The C17 was not as comfortable as the B17 and I had reduce my riding time to keep the sciatic pain away. After two month I decided to go with the wider C19. It is a lot more comfortable and so far there is no sciatica.
I miss the leather saddle but keeping it dry was a problem. The material on the cambium does not slide like on a leather saddle and I find my riding shorts get "bunched up" on the inside next to the saddle and have to be pulled down more often...nothing is perfect. Like Gilman said you have to find what works for you.

I have been through the wringer trying to find the perfect fitting saddle. I have two of these this is on my gravel flat bar bike and I'm in a more upright position so I'm needing a bit wider than my mtb (mountain bike) on the mtb I'm more leaned down towards the handlebars.
If you do a sit bone width test like at a shop they'll most likely test only for one position. However if you go over to the Brooks website they have a method that talks about how your sit bone width changes depending on how you sit on your bike. I was rocking off the edges of most every saddle I was tested for.
On my mountain bike I ride XC longer distance type rides and as fast as possible for an older 60 something guy. I have the Brooks c13 carbon rail it's a 154mm wid, my C17 is the 168mm width (I could be off a bit on those numbers but I'm very close) and get this on my shorter days in the saddle I don't need padded shorts I could probably get away with not wearing the diaper.
The C17 is heavy that's one of the drawbacks I had with buying this saddle, I had one before on a 19lb gravel bike and I sold it and found myself back to chasing the perfect fitting saddle and I couldn't find it, I'm over the weight thing nowadays for this bike the C17 is on and the C13 I have is lighter but still a bit heavy for a carbon rail saddle. The C13 in the Brooks lineup is the only one I'm aware of that has a number but comes in different sizes/widths

Wish I'd had this on my last bicycle tour!

I've run many a saddle on several bikes and on three different bicycle tours. I've even owned a Brooks B67 a few years before this. I'm not a fan of leather saddles after owning it.
This however is the Brooks to get if you don't like the maintenance issues with any of the Brooks leather saddles. It's probably the most comfortable saddle I've ridden and I've ridden a number of them. Sure it doesn't have the padding that many saddles do, nor the gel padding that others do. Where this saddle lacks padding it has more flex than others due in part to it being made from vulcanized rubber. Yes, vulcanized rubber. But don't let it fool you. This is a very well made and durable saddle.
My only skepticism is that the rubber is vulcanized in Italy since Sele Italia bought Brooks a couple years back. Though the rubber is vulcanized outside of England, I'm assuming the saddle was finished in England. The rivets that hold the rubber on the saddle look as if they were done by Brooks themselves and the quality of the build is top notch as one would expect from Brooks.
I've been riding this saddle for a few months now and haven't missed the previous saddle yet. I even rode this during a downpour. Here's were other saddles just don't stand up as they are made from synthetics. And even leather saddles will require maintenance after being in this kind of weather. This saddle took it all in stride and didn't show any signs of problems. Of course being built from vulcanized rubber makes this virtually waterproof.
If you have thought about buying a Brooks B17 "Bomber" which is the classic Brooks touring saddle but don't want the maintenance issues that come with it, this is the saddle to buy. Same shape and dimensions as the B17, a little less costly, and a great saddle all around.

I ride 150 to 250 miles a week and have have tried out many many saddles ( including Selle, Fizik, and Bontrager).my best saddle allowed me to ride about 50 miles before becoming increasingly painful. I purchased the Brooks C15 , set the nose level and rode 30 miles with no issues. The next day I rode 90 miles, with basically no issues again. I did feel some pressure as the ride went on, but it wasn't nearly as bad as my other saddles. As noted, the saddle is a little heavy so I gave it 4 stars. If you ride on the drops a lot, I would suggest setting the nose tilt 1Degree down.
This seat is great

While it is a bit heavy, it is super comfortable. I have put many miles on since purchasing and I'm glad I got it.
