Decent Protection for the Price.

Would have given a 4 but no side protection to rib cage. I like the fact that there is decent protection to the forearm and elbow, upper bicep, and side of the shoulder which is well covered. It does not cover the top of the shoulder (shoulder blade). The back is decently protected down to the lower back, but should have been wider at the shoulders to protect the scapula and mid-back area to cover the side rib cages.
At first, this reminded me of a Batman Halloween costume. After examining it closely and trying it on several times, it's decent for the price. Falling off a BMX ride or Electric skateboard ride would certainly help minimize the injuries while wearing this protective jacket.
the nylon mesh is a little on the weak or cheap material. One good slide or fall may rip the mesh, Hopefully it can be sewn up.
Just make sure you check the size chart and order accordingly. If you order slightly bigger, you can always wear clothing underneath for further protection. I use a Shock Doctor nylon shirt that has side rib cage padding under this protective jacket.

Item is really strong and it could be used in fights as well or maybe if you want to elbow a window or mirror or face lol. I'm 5'6 And 190lbs and ordered an XXL. Perfect for what I needed. Fits a tad too loose but the flex straps around the arms to hold the elbow pads makes it fit like a charm. Would highly recommend to a friend. 10/10 would buy again.

Zipper is super cheap on the back, broke and I didn't even unzip it. It was the metal piece at the end of it. The rest of it I like though. I wear it under a sweatshirt and feel really protected. Had found a clip on YouTube where someone went down wearing this and it seemed to work great for them. Is comfortable and like the Velcro strechy attached belt eliminates bunching up and helps keep the bottom of it down.

I got this for my son. he's about 6' ,135lbs the smallest size (xl) was too big for him. discription says is japanese sizes and should go bigger but the smallest size. Was made for someone 180LBS or so at least, seemed well made as far as we could tell.. but returning it non the less
