It works... Like others here, both bolts snapped for me and I ended up having to remove the OEM bolt mount and install it onto this unit. This required dremelling out a cavity for it to seat properly. After all of that work, it still doesn't flush out to the tailgate body lines. With that work complete, I hook it up to a mediocre picture quality.

It said that it fit a 2005 Ford F-250 so I ordered it. When it showed up I neatly wired all the wiring from my head unit to the tailgate. Upon installing the handle the fit was TERRIBLE!! There is a large gap all the way around the handle and I can actually see inside my tailgate. I reached out to the company 3 times over several weeks and have still not heard back. I was hoping I had just received a bad handle out of the bunch and they could just swap it out for another one but again no one will get back to me. Its too bad because the camera function works great but the handle looks rediculous on the truck. Due to the poor fit the handle doesn't function right either. Save your money and look elsewhere. This is a buy at your own risk for proper fit on your vehicle. Maybe someone from the company will actually read my review and help me get it fixed so I change my rating of this product.

Doesn't fit like the original handle did. I had to lightly sand down the edge on the back where camera is mounted just to get the handle to insert into the tailgate. The picture quality is okay at best. I gave it 3 stars because it is still a better option than a license plate mounted camera, especially if you do a lot of towing and need help backing up to trailers.

I had a new stereo installed professionally a few months ago . I saw there is a application for a reverse camera on my Ford F-250 . I discussed the options for a camera with my professional installer at Audio place . After he informed me his supplier couldn't get the tailgate latch camera . But I could purchase it from Amazon. Unfortunately one of the bolts broke on the camera latch . So do I try to drill the bolt out and rig it up myself or send it back ? I read another review and the same thing happened to someone else . Cmon master tailgaters get it together !
