A Good Tool

This is an excellent specialty tool. It does just what it is expected to do, quickly and efficiently.
I have a later model Chevy with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System that gives the actual tire pressure in each wheel via radio transmitters in the valve stems. I was tired of having my tires rotated, asking the mechanic to reset the new wheel positions to the TPMS readout, and being ignored. That happened over several different garages over several months. Each time I took my car home and checked the actual wheel position with the indicated position, they were all wrong. You can verify this by adding or removing air from a tire, then checking it on the TPMS position readout.
This may not be a big deal to some people but it is to me. I can watch trends in tire pressure, detecting early problems such as a slow leak. My TPMS is very accurate, within 1 or 2 psi in reference to actual measured pressure. One can also see if there are problems in the TPMS itself, such as a weak valve stem transmitter battery.
I've wanted one of these tools for a long time, but until now, they cost close to a hundred bucks. This tool at 15 bucks, pays for itself with one use. It worked flawlessly, and the reset took less than two minutes. Just be sure to put the tool tip flat circular surface in full contact with the sidewall, right at the valve stem, right at the rim.

Works great on my 2013 Cadillac XTS

I ordered this to reset the TPM sensors on my 2013 Cadillac XTS. The tool seems well made, I did not have any issues with the battery staying in the battery compartment or rattling around as some prior reviews mentioned, perhaps the manufacturer updated the product, but on the one I received, the 9V battery installed easily and stayed put, and the battery door snapped firmly into place to hold the battery inside.
I found it works better if you place the antenna on the sidewall of the tire, right next to the valve stem, with the antenna pointing towards the tire. It worked better if I angled the tool so that the antenna was pointing towards the base of the valve stem. Instructions for how to put the TPM system in learn mode were in the owner's manual for the XTS. The procedure worked just as described in the owner's manual, the horn honked each time the valve stem picked up the signal from the tool, and after the last tire was done, the horn honked twice and the system ended learn mode. It worked great, very easy to use, took a few seconds and a bit of moving around the tool before the car picked up the signal, but it did work, took maybe 5 seconds per tire or so. As others mentioned, there is no "off" switch on the tool, so I took the battery back out after the process was done so the battery won't drain.
Good value for the money and works well enough, not always on the first try but if you move the tool around a bit and point the sensor at a slightly different angle and try again, it will work, might take 2 or 3 tries but it works. The entire process took maybe 1 to 1-1/2 minutes to complete all 4 tires.
I had my tires rotated at the tire store and they forgot to re-code my TPMS sensors to the new tires! It took me a while to figure this out! This was a lot faster than a trip back to the store, and now I have the tool for future use if I rotate my tires myself. Not a bad tool to have on hand.

09 Pontiac G8 GT. I run 2 sets of wheels & tires, winter/summer. The process requires letting the air out of each tire for their position to be learned. PITA & you can't do that with nitrogen inflation.
This tool works works perfect. I found it works fast if you put it's antenna on the tread of the tire next to the tire valve. I'm only using it twice a year so I'm using a lithium 9v battery because they last long and don't leak and wreck your tool.
