Okay, so I wasn't so sure what I was getting myself into when I first purchased its backpack. There were some complaints saying that the color they received didn't match as pictured. I purchased the blue and beige one. Its more of an off-white/light-grey than a beige, but I think that its cuter this way. I wasn't sure if it would fit my surface pro laptop, but I was wrong. This backpack can fit my surface pro laptop along with like, 2 textbooks, and 3 notebooks. There's also plenty of space for my wallet, and pencil case and my 2DS or PSP. There a lot of compartments in the backpack which let you be a little more organized so that everything is not so cluttered. I've had it for about 4 months now and it still looks pretty great!
It's good for school, travel, etc. Depending on how much stuff I carry, there are days when I can fit a standard water bottle on the side or one of those Arizona cans. I immediately wanted to get a second one after I got this one in a different color, but I think I'll put it on hold for now because it looks brand new even 4 months in (I use it everyday). Glad I bought this over the Kanken bags. Would definitely get a second one in the future.

- CAN fit a 15.6" laptop, but not in the laptop pocket. I have to keep my laptop outside of it, and it fits VERRRRYY snug. Not in a good way, but yes, it's absolitely possible to fit a 15.6.
- there's 4 bottle holders. Two on outside, two inside. If my laptop wasn't so huge, I'm sure i could fit my water bottle in there lol...
- THE PINK IS GRAY IS MORE LIKE PINK AND LAVENDAR. But... I'm not mad about it. I still think it's cute
- if you see reviews about the "broken zipper" on the inside just needs to be "unzipped" with your finger. Don't worry about it being broken, it's just manufacturing standards.
- i love been using a Northface backpack for years, and this one is so much lighter on my back with the same materials. I'm not sure why... but it's very comfortable to me

Comfortable, Aesthetically Pleasing Alternative to Kanken

Amazing backpack! I got this to replace my Kanken. I loved it, but it was just too uncomfortable to carry around my laptop. It dug into my shoulders really badly. I decided to look for an alternative, and I was ecstatic to find this bag! It has every feature I loved about the Kanken and then some. It's minimal and that rectangular, completely unzippable body, but plenty of pockets in and outside to be extremely functional. Most importantly, it's very comfortable! I can carry around my laptop, charger, etc, and my shoulders don't get sore at all!
It's also waterproof and stain resistant, and it's stayed nice and clean on classroom and bus floors.

I wish it had more small key pockets on the outside, but all in all I love it so far. The one weird thing on it that really bummed me out is the excess strap situation. The excess strap that allows for loosening the shoulder straps is so neatly buttoned into the strap, but only if you have it as tight as it can go. It would be great if there were more buttons along the straps so i could loosen the straps and still have the excess out of the way.

I'm very impressed by the quality of this bag: the material feels thick and durable, the interior is well constructed with an awesome little organizer, there are interior and exterior water bottle pockets, and the straps are padded and comfortable. It seems like it's able to hold a lot of stuff comfortably-- I'm excited to start using it regularly and it seems like it'll hold up very well. Some of the other reviewers have commented about the color of their bags being different from what's shown, but (despite the lighting in my photos maybe being a little misleading) I would say that this one is exactly what I was expecting based on the photo for the light green color and it's a really cute green in person too. I love the contrasting webbing used on the straps and tabs at the bottom of the zippers, it's a small touch I was so happy to see is true to the listing photos. I'm so excited to have found this bag and it's a great price for how nice it is!
For reference: you can securely fit a 20 oz water bottle in the side pockets, I do wish the pockets were a little lower but the water bottle isn't in danger of falling out where it is, it just looks a little too high up...luckily the bottle can also go inside safely. Also, I took a photo with my 15 inch macbook in the bag to show that it CAN be made to fit if necessary, but honestly I would avoid carrying it in this bag because it was very tight. Oh, and the button on the straps is kind of weird because I don't know who could actually use it while they're buttoned up like that, but I don't mind having them dangling down like a normal backpack.
