Laser brightness became very faint in less than a week of ocassional use (fresh battery didn't help).

The DinoFire Wireless Presenter has two functions, remote computer control and a red laser pointer. Out of the box both functions worked fine. The laser dot was bright enough to be seen at a distance. Unfortunately, just testing it at my desk for a few minutes over the course of a week the brightness of the laser decreased to the point it's barely visible at arms length. Inserting a different fresh (and tested) battery did not help the intensity of the laser. I'm keeping the unit for its remote control function because it's easier than returning it for a replacement. For a laser pointer I'll fall back on the old laser pointer I used for a cat toy.

First the dongle is inconveniently stored; one has to open the battery recess to get it each time. For a device I need to carry from classroom to classroom, that's a pain in the ass, frankly. But of more import is the fact the laser pointer went out in just a day. At first, I thought the battery was dead (after just a day), but the forward/backward for slides still worked. I even tried another battery, but when the light would come on at all, it was too faint to see at any distance. This is a piece of crap. Do not buy.

Bought this a couple years ago. Still on the original battery. Works great in macs or PC's. Turns on almost instantly after you plug it in, so no long fumbling period if you forget it at the beginning of your lecture. And if you forget to turn it on, that takes about 1 second to start working. Plus the laser is super bright. This is a great product at a great price. Buy it.

All I wanted was a device to be a remote mouse to help me make PowerPoint presentations, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money for it. The DinoFire Wireless Presenter works perfectly AND gives me a laser pointer as well. I was pleasantly surprised that it includes both forward and backward slide changing that works better than the mouse buttons. My only complaint is that the USB dongle is so small that I have sometimes forgotten and left it plugged into the PC used for a presentation. There is a lifetime warranty from this company, so when I lost my USB dongle, they sent me a new one free of charge. Good unit, good support.

Great and light wireless presenter, very comfortable in the hands. Runs on your typical AAA battery, so it's easy to keep a spare around (I use rechargeables lithium ones).
The only thing that takes a day or two to get used to is that to advance you press "DOWN", to go back you press "UP", no biggie though.
