It really kept my head warm but when turning to look around, the hood didn't move with my head. In the dark it's easy to lose which end is up, but you realize quickly enough & it's easy off/easy on. I would buy it again.

It was warm and windproof. Wore it snowmobiling and ice fishing behind ski goggles, and under a hat. Stood up to 40+mph wind and sub zero temps at 7 am on Lake Superior. Spent 7 hours on the ice. This balaklava was super comfortable the whole time. I have a big noggin, and it was tight getting the hood down around my head, but you want it to be form fitting so that was not a problem at all. Nose and mouth cover was a bit hard to find at times after it got tucked down. Could have easily been my gloves or my frozen fingers that were the real problem. Going to be a staple in my extreme weather gear from now on.
