THIS THING IS AWESOME.

The best: is that you can keep charging it (the manual says its good for it to be charged all the time). So I just let it charge at all times in the back of my car.

The worse: I think my light on my wrist watch is brighter than the LEDs on this thing. But meh, in an emergency situation, any light will do.

I've only owned it for a month, and already I have jump started 5 cars, 3 of which were a large truck variety (and actually it was 3 back to back jump starts, the guy kept letting it die lol).

The power inverter works well! It powered some speakers at a beach for several hours. It can power a soldering iron for doing electrical work in car. It can KINDA power a heat gun. It can NOT power a vacuum cleaner.

Also, I have owned several emergency compressors, and the number one problem is the pressure gauge. The PSI air pressure gauge on this Potek device is AMAZING!!!! Probably the best that I have ever seen. Even while it is running (a LOT of vibration) the gauge is readable. It seems accurate as well. I use it to fill up my car tires all the time. It is great!

Owned 2 weeks. Used about 6 times ona a car which had a dying baytery, then lost power with no warning. Battery shows barely any voltage, and absolutely no charge/battery test function/light operation unless plugged in, and then only shows as 'maintaining battery', not charging. Supplied with a fuse but no where to use it. Shame as cranked well whilst it lasted.

I recently moved from a house to an apartment building. The garage does not have any electric outlets to power my motorcycle's Battery Tender. After contemplating the use of a solar charger, I decided to try the Potek and its 120v outlets. Last night I connected the Battery Tender to the motorcycle and plugged it into the Potek. This morning I went out to the garage and saw that the Battery Tender was still light lit and its status bar was solid green. Mission accomplished. It looks like the Potek will last through the night and supplies enough power to the Battery Tender to do its job. I will use the Potek once a week with the Battery Tender to ensure the motorcycle battery remains charged year round.

So far so good. First use was actually a neighbor who needed a jump. Jeep Cherokee was dead and needed help. Cables were good and no slip. Bit in perfect. It started ok. There was no detectable sound of the starter drawing off of a smaller power source. So, it's gonna take winter time before the true test. Compressor works good enough and this unit comes with a inverter on the backside. It powered up and looks ok for a 300w. Plugged in a bank of fluorescent shop lights. Internal fan kicked on. Does what it supposed to do.

As you can see by the pics, I've added some things. Positive and negative studs so I can use a more powerful charger when needed. The trickle charger provided is ok, it seems, when it's plugged in and utilizes the circuit board and the front facing LED's for showing battery power level. Was not enough for me. So, I added the studs directly connected to the battery. No feedback through the circuit board when I use a larger charger. Internal battery on my unit is a 22ah, 12v sealed lead acid. Big battery with plenty of juice.

As well, I added a voltage meter. Used these before, and I'm happy with the accuracy they provide. To keep the meter from being annoying, I robbed a APU of its on/off switch and it fits perfectly on the side.This setup works for me. Others may have better ideas.

This device works as advertised. It takes a while to to tires up to 80 lbs though. The battery stays charged for a long time. I'm not exactly sure how long, but it held a charge for weeks for me without issue.

I had a problem with the first one I purchased and the seller was very responsive. The took care of it quickly and followed thru on everything they promised.

I'd definitely do business with this company again and would recommend this device.
