I don't bother with the desiccant circles. Instead, I bought a large jar of desiccant granules and with that, the item is perfect! The granules are trapped below the inner cup and never get through the tiny holes at the bottom of the inner cup. Keeps my hearing aids dry overnight because the screw-on top screws on tightly enough and admits no room air once the cover is on.
The desiccant circles it comes with are too expensive to keep buying, but a jar of desiccant granules does the trick nicely. And instead of heating the desiccant circles (to "renew" them), I just toss the saturated granules in the garbage and put fresh ones in the drying cup. This really works great!
