I wanted to like this. At first, the sound amplification was great. However, something wasn't right and come to find out one of the channels is defective, and puts out significantly less sound than the other. I tested this by using another preamp and it's definitely the unit. Will have to return and look for another option.

Worth. Every. Penny. Some background. I have the least expensive Audio Technica turntable (AT LP60) and was using the built in phono preamp with a Monoprice hybrid 25 watt amp feeding Klipsch speakers. The vinyl sounded good. So... I plugged in the T7 and Wow! First thing I noticed was the separation. Incredible improvement. I now understand what is called the sound stage! No distortion, Bass and high end are great.
Here is the big deal. The audio is so good I forget that I am listening to a record! It's just great audio! Full and natural.
But now I need a better turntable and cartridge. LOL!!! That's Life. A bit of rumble and intermod distortion from the turntable and cartridge.
What sold me on purchasing the Little Bear was the picture on Amazon of the pc board. The quality of design and manufacture is very apparent.
The level switch is a very good addition, as the output of the preamp was a little hot for my amp. The switch is at the front of the box, and all that was required to access it was removal of the 4 screws at the front, and I used a piece of wire bent in a U shape to pull the switch into the low position. Just make sure you have the proper size phillips screw driver so you don't damage the screw heads. Be sure to use the ground if you need it. I didn't in my case.

The AC adapter did not work so I had to purchase a replacement. Once set up and powered the pre amp works quite well. It sounds good, nice warm tone and looks pretty cool.
