Good Quality, but Size is A Tad Too Snug

This is a very well made and quality padded topped mattress cover, that blocks allergens greater than 1 micron in size according to their ad. The cover fabric itself (that touches your skin) is 100% cotton, yet feels combed, almost as if it were polyester microfiber- soft in that way. There are two zippers- one to slide your mattress in, and one to remove the pillow top. The pillow top feels lightly padded with fill you might find in a fiber fill type pillow, and it adds a nice amount of comfort, but not significant bulk. The main reason I am giving this nicely made mattress encasement a 4 instead of a 5 star rating, is that it's size is very snug, and even though it says the Queen should fit up to a 10" mattress, it just fits my 10" memory foam almost exactly, which is not great considering there is a lot of cotton. The ruler i have on my pic shows the mid section fabric at about 9 1/2 inches,- not a comfortable 10+ , and I can't see it fitting on a solid framed mattress. Plus, with a 100% cotton cover, i'm worried that one wash will cause enough shrinkage to be a problem.
This cover should fit most conventional mattress/box spring combinations but not really deep platform/mattress-only setups.

The BioPEDIC Zip-n-Clean Mattress Encasement with Pillow Top, Queen fits my older-style Lux mattress/box spring combination but would never fit on my newer platform mattress which is over 16" deep.
The cover encapsulates the mattress (only) and provides a barrier from allergens. It also gives the mattress a fresh new look. The 1" of padding is minimal but does provide a bit of cushioning. I like the fact that the padding is machine-washable.

no way this is going to fit on modern day mattresses. If you have a 5 or MAYBE 6 inch thick one, you will like this. Otherwise, it doesn't even come close to being deep enough.
