Surprisingly powerful for being cordless
Karen in Mommyland✓ Verified Purchase•November 3, 2017
This saw is impressive. I was initially skeptical that a cordless compound miter saw would have much power, but this saw has a lot more power to it than my husbands old corded Ryobi. In short, this saw is a beast. It's pretty large, so you'll need a good sturdy work table for this. It's heavy, so a flimsy table or support is not going to make the grade with this tool.
The saw cuts cleanly and performed well at all the different angles my husband tried it out on. Two of his buddies who both do a lot of carpentry and tiling work checked this out, too and they were also impressed with the performance of this saw.
Overall it's a quality piece of machinery that delivers excellent performance.

Most Impressive Miter Saw I’ve Ever Seen

This is definitely a well-made and well-designed tool. With that being said, it is huge - as in you better get a table for it if you don't have one huge. Don't try putting it on some unstable thing not made for it. The saw, without the dust bag, is going to take up about 3 feet of space from front to rear and almost that from side to side.
We put this through the motions, cutting scrap at different angles and bevels. It can actually go through three stacked 2 by 4's. It also goes through cow bone just a note for those who are wondering about the power (my husband's friend has a farm and gave us some larger bones for the dogs we needed to cut down). This thing has power. So be careful. If it'll go through cow bone it'll amputate an arm. It actually varies it's own speeds to complete the cuts properly. The blade retention flange bolt is actually reverse threaded so when you remove it keep that in mind.
Overall one of the most powerful miter saws I've seen and the fact it's battery operated just stumps me. Never thought I'd see that much power in a battery operated saw and the batteries seem to last quite a while. Definitely recommend for those who use this type of tool frequently and need the power.
