I was very happy with the flush I got
Richard•June 13, 2018
I was very happy with the flush I got. In 7 days it was huge and ready to eat. Be aware that once they start coming up they need sprayed 10 or more times a day. I carried mine to work and sprayed them every hour and they grew FAST and BIG! Be sure to sterilize your knife, fork you use to make the cut etc. I just boiled the utensils for 10 mins to sterilize them. Also, know that the color fades as they're ready to harvest. The photographs attached are when the color is still good so they're got larger before harvest time.
I followed instructions but couldn't get a second flush. :-(
This was my first time eating Pink Oyster Mushrooms so I fried some which tasted like some kind of fresh sea food and baked others with garlic and olive oil and they were crunchy and chewy and delicious! Will buy again.

Seller sent a replacement, and I was successful. Yay.
Philip Ray Bessa•June 5, 2018
At first I was disappointed. It arrived barely colonized at all, and before I even sliced it open, it developed green mold. Contacted the seller, they sent a new replacement, fully colonized.
I followed the instructions. Noticed a black spot starting to grow at the site where I cut into the side, so I carved it out carefully with a bunch of bad words and further disappointment. That's when I noticed in the corner of the package, a pink set of knobs were growing, so I taped shut the hole and cut open the corner. BOOM! Just a few days pass and a huge set of pink oysters were ready to harvest. Two more flushes followed, before that black stuff returned and spoiled it.
Just glad I finally grew some pink oysters. I'll be honest - I didn't like the taste. They were tough and chewy, so I fried them. Like a low-quality calamari.

Beautiful, but only one bunch
Amazon Customer•May 17, 2018
I really wanted to love this. My first mushroom batch was extremely small and sickly looking. I harvested, threw them out and tried again. This time a full, beautiful bunch came in. It looked amazing. Unfortunately, that was it. I tried for another, but nothing ever came up again. I specifically bought this one thinking it would yield more than one-two batches. It's definitely fun and beautiful when you get a batch, but if you're looking for something to produce often I wouldn't get it. I will say I prefer this to the other one and done kits though. The pink mushrooms are so unique
Not for use in low humidity environments.

I wasn't able to spritz it enough to keep them hydrated as I live in New Mexico. I put them into a gallon zip lock bag that was partially open but they got mold on them. The brick has a bit of an odor somewhat like fish but it wasn't especially pungent.

So I received my kit couple of days ago, I followed the instructions and it does seem to grow a nice crop. Now the side where the filter is also had some growing. As I cut the bag, I noticed that is so contaminated, very disappointed, not sure how productive this kit will be but will see try to cut that side and see if I can save the kit. Not sure if it is worth the money though
