Just hooked this antennae up to my TV and not quite sure if I am happy with it. The reception isn't the best because the sound and picture keep cutting out. The TV is pixelating and freezes quite often. I live about fifty miles from the broadcasting stations and really didn't have huge expectations for a perfect reception, but did hope for a little more than I got. I may need to spend more money on an antennae that receives the signals a little better. If you don't live my distance away from the signals and are happy with receiving two stations decently, then this may be for you.

This antenna works better than my last one. The reception has been very stable so far. However, I did some homework to find out the optimum angle based on the broadcasting towers location before installing it and it paid off splendidly. I saw so many negative reviews about the antenna not being able to pick up the channels, and I think its mostly due to placement at less than optimum angle. If you struggle to get a good reception, please go to antennapoint.com and enter your address to find out from which direction most of the signals are coming from. Placing the antenna to face that direction will definitely help improve the reception. Also, try it with or without the amplifier. In my case, reception is better without the amplifier. So, after this one time adjustments, I found the optimum location and now am enjoying 30 digital channels.

It's very easy to install. I placed mine on a Window and it's able to pick up channels without the amplifier but they look pixelated; but once I connect the amplifier, they look clear. This antenna even works if I leave it flat on a table. It's really good. The only thing is that in my case, I get improved image with the amplifier rather than a stand alone connection. I do connect the amplifier directly to the built-in USB port on my TV.

I am astounded at how well this product works to get digital local channel.
I was skeptical about a flat antenna. Like what the heck since I'm used too the huge outside ones and the rabbit ears very easy to hook up. I screwed on the detachable digital amplifier to the back of my TV and then took the very nice thick coaxial cord that came with it and attached the antenna itself. The actual antenna has mounting tape already attached so you can stick it to your wall or whatever it may be. Which I thought was totally cool. Although I didn't use yet I hooked up and did the channel search and was amazed to get quite a few channels! connected to TV and turned TV to scan for channels. Received 52 Digital channels. Moved antenna to different location with in the room and re scanned for channels as suggested in the instructions. Now had 50. Will check other locations before selecting the final mounting. The picture is very clear and the receiving signal is very strong. So you can use with or without the amplifier. I have the antenna set on top of a shelf next to my TV. And this antenna works so well that with all the interfere it doesn't cut out at all. Which is awesome. There's plenty of good channels like ion and qubo kids and plenty of pbs wedu abc abc weather the local abc nbc cbs fox wgn cw am oldies channel and plenty more.

Make sure you face the antenna towards the direction of your broadcast towers.
If you have a active HDMI cable connected to your TV then make sure you keep the coax cable from the antenna separated from it (specifically not touching). At first all my local channels would bring in crystal clear, Except CBS and ABC no matter which direction the antenna was pointed. During the time, The coax line from the antenna was twist tied to the HDMI cable for neatness since this TV is wall mounted. I read somewhere that the HDMI cable touching the antenna cable could actually cause additional noise on the antenna line thus preventing some channels from being picked up properly. I separated those two line and used some zip ties to route them such that they did not touch. Ran a new channel scan and ALL network channels were easily picked up including CBS and ABC crystal clear.

I live in central Ohio and it picked up 32 channels which are all crystal clear. I have it stuck to the window near my tv with the little suction cups it comes with. It has all the good local channels like the CW, local news, and fox! Definitely worth the price!
