Numbers began to dim after 4 months. Clock completely died after 6 months.
It's BLUE. Cool, modern, right? Yeah, but... there is a reason the stop traffic light is RED.

It's BLUE. Cool, modern, right? (I though so - I bought it) Yeah, but... there is a reason the stop traffic light is RED. Blue gets fuzzy to see from a distance. Yes, the numbers are huge, but it does not really help - still hard to see across the room. The self-setting Accurite clock with smaller red numbers AcuRite 13003 7-Inch Digital Alarm Clock was easier to see across the room. I am going to stick with it. Plus there are other cons - the screen on this blue one is very reflective - I wasn't able to position it so it does not reflect one of the windows. Secondly, it's 2017, guys! Time to incorporate self-setting technology into clocks - like the aforementioned clock from the same manufacturer already does (it's half the price of this one too!). Who wants to set the clocks twice a year (DST is ridiculous enough lobbied by he power companies making them even richer at your, folks, expense - different subject, though) but having to go through your house clocks twice a year should be minimized as much as possible. Anyway, this one is going back. Cool photos, but it doesn't really do what I expected it would.
Best clock I've purchased in the past 30 years!!!

I wanted a big clock for my wall. And as you can see by the 16 ounce Coke bottle in the picture, this clock is huge! Other reviewer's say it's too bright. While I will agree it's bright, you get used to it. When I first took it out of the box and hung it up, I thought it was too bright as well. But over the past week and a half I've actually had it hanging in my bedroom to test the brightness and haven't lost one minute of sleep since I hung it up. That's probably due to the red color. I think the blue would have kept me up as it would've been lighting up the room. If it's too bright for you, just get some 20% limo tint from your nearest auto parts store, or here on Amazon, and apply layers until you're happy. But if you like big clocks folks, this is the one for you, get it! :-)
Thank you for making this clock

Installation on the wall definitely requires some work unless you opt to put this on a desktop. But I wouldn't recommend that because it's a little bit light and the weight of the cord might yank it from the table.

Choosing a location on the wall could be a little bit limiting as the power cable is not very long (3m / 9 feet). Standard heights of walls are usually 9 feet so the cable stretches just enough to reach the power source. Therefore, a location right above a socket is almost always imperative, unless of course you have a cord extension.

The LED display is definitely not as bright as the devil red eyes bright that the others have sworn but just bright enough to be visible during daytime or when the lights are on.

Construction is not much of a standout as it feels like a cheap plastic and at times gave me the impression that it's frail and easily breakable. But since it will never be touched again after installation, provided it was not damaged during handling, makes its cheap plasticky feel not that big of a deal. Although I would have been willing to spend a little more if it were made of aluminum or something sturdier.

Be careful when taking this clock out of its box as there are two screws that hold it onto the box that are not readily visible (transparent washers). These screws are only for fixing the clock on to the box and don't have any other functions whatsoever, as far as I'm concerned. I had no prior idea that its boxing would be like this so I just ripped it off from the box. Fortunately, One of the screws broke and it made me realize that I had to unscrew the other. The clock has sustained some damage, but since the damage was on the back and won't be visible, it didn't really matter. I was just a little disappointed because it felt like I am having a damaged good.

Adjustment of time and other information was a breeze. On the back of the clock, there are three buttons: UP, NEXT, DOWN. Just press the NEXT button repeatedly to cycle through the fields. Use the UP or DOWN to increase or decrease the values, respectively.

Overall, this clock fits the bill of what I wanted a clock to look like but not exactly what I was looking for. If it had the relative humidity reading, then this would have been the perfect clock for me. But since appearance for me is a little bit more important than function, I went with this clock anyway and I have no regrets.

Out of 10 this is a 9, but since the scale that amazon uses is only up to 5, I had to round 4.5 off to 5.
Love the large bright display, big buttons, extra info on the side, and power cable

I am in love with this clock. Love love love.
The following things could improve it if you're listening manufacturers...
A centered hole in the back (this one has two holes, probably better since it's a bit larger/wider, but I'm lazy and have big screws).
A way to select how bright it is. The level of brightness is perfect for what I need most of the time, but it's a bit too bright at night in a dark room...I wonder if it could automatically detect the room light level and adjust accordingly...meh, ignore that and keep the price down. I do like how easy it is to read compared to my gray-black lcd clocks. I can't read those unless some bright room lights are turned on.
I like the fact that it has a red light instead of blue or green. I read blue light keeps you up at night.
I like that it doesn't come with an alarm, radio, or auto-clock setting gps crap. That stuff is just fluff that usually goes wrong once in a while.
I love the big buttons. Thank you.
It would have been a faster purchase if it could have gone down to around $29.99. Over $40 is the area where I'm still looking around to see if there's a better deal. If you're looking to save some money, I don't really need the day of the week or date displays. The temperature and time are nice.
I like the fact that it has a power cable and battery backup.
