KOKNIT 20pcs Bamboo Crochet Hooks, Lightweight and Eco-Friendly of Full Gift Set with Crochet Hooks Bag, Crochet Hooks for Crocheting

Key features
- •This listing is for a full set of 20 bamboo crochet hooks all zipped into a convenient carrying case! The set includes 12 crochet hooks in US sizes C to N (metric sizes 3 to 10 mm) as well as 8 steel hooks with bamboo handles in sizes 1 to 2.75 mm. Each hook is marked with its metric size.
- •Bamboo is lightweight, ergonomic, and enjoyable to crochet with! Forget those heavy metal hooks and connect with the natural beauty of bamboo. Made from an eco-friendly, highly renewable resource, these hooks are not only beautiful but are durable and made to last! All 20 hooks come in a convenient zippered carrying case.
- •Unlike aluminum crocheting needles, which can warm up and cause you to get sweaty, moist hands, bamboo will absorb the natural oils in your skin. This keeps your crochet hooks hydrated and prevents them from splitting or cracking. Plus Plus, Right?
- •Each hook has it's size engraved on it - so no more guessing because the written size has rubbed off after a couple hours of crocheting.
- •The smoothness of the needle helps your yarn glide gently from the hook, making crocheting even easier.

I am not a professional crocheter or anything close, however I have crochet most of my life (50-60) years, and I know which hooks fits how I crochet. These are very light, especially the smaller ones, and I like to have a certain weight in my hands when I crochet, I find these a little harder to use. Also, they are smooth but not slippery enough for the yarn to slide on like they do with a metal hook.
Great deal for a price

I bought this set as I wanted a basic crochet set that I can knit with for a while without straining my hands.
The set is very nice, I love the touch of bamboo. The thicker hooks are all bamboo and finer ones are metal tip and have a wooden handle.
Soon after I got them I noticed that one of the bamboo hooks had a bit of a splinter end. I used a fine sandpaper (320 rating) and the splinter was gone and the hook became even smoother than before. I didn't think it was a big deal, based on the price and reviews I realized that it's an acceptable margin of error.
I also compared this hook to an old fashioned metal hook I inherited from my mother that was made in 70s or 80s, in comparison these hooks are not very refined. But for the machine-made mass produced hooks these are excellent and won't break the bank. The closing case is a very nice touch. I don't think I'll be looking for a new set anytime soon. I'm not an every day knitter but when I do I usually make a sizable project. These hooks are great for an amateur and even a seasoned knitter.

One broke - but it was really my fault.

One of mine broke when I was working on a Christmas project. I reached out to the company asking if they could replace it but they couldn't. They did offer a partial refund though so their customer service was great. The other seem sturdy and I think it may have just been an impurity in the wood that caused the break.

Some of the books had pieces of bamboo that was smoothed out on them and made for snags in the yarn. Created many pulls in project. Otherwise, they were light-weight and comfortable and easy to use. You hardly knew you had anything in your hands.
