Very pretty dress perfect for a Gatsby party. The fit was as I expected it would be, but be sure to read the size chart. Don't order your regular dress size; it WILL be too small, especially if you have any curves. I needed an XL in the bust and waist and a 3X in the hips. I took a chance on the 2X because of the large size difference between the 2X and 3X. It was a bit tight in the hips (expected), but some Jockey shaping shorts at Target helped. The waist was a good fit (a bit smaller than expected, based on the size chart) and the bust was huge (much bigger than expected, considering I only was going one size larger than I thought I needed AND I had on a padded bra). It was easy to take a few small stitches under the armpits and along the bust so the dress fit a bit better. The beading hid the stitches.

I could have ordered a larger size to come closer to that straight 20s fit, but be aware that this dress isn't straight cut. Achieving that 20s fit will be difficult unless you alter the dress a bit, or if you are very curvy. If I had sized up to get a looser fit in the hips, it would have gapped and slipped off my shoulders in a bad way...not in a good "20s cut" way.

The beading and fringe was decent quality. The beads and sequins are just glued on, so expect a few loose beads. I had to trim a few beads off, and also snip some long pieces of fringe, but nothing major.

A tip: if you're going to a large party, don't order this in black or ivory. 95% of the other people there will also have dresses from Amazon and will pick black or ivory. I picked dark green and didn't see a single other person in dark green. This dress is beautiful in dark green (and it looks great with a peacock feather headband!).

I bought this dress to wear to a Gatsby-themed wedding. Being a plus-sized woman (18W), my choices were limited. Read reviews and follow the company's sizing chart!! I ordered a 4X for the first time in my life! But I'm glad I did... Other than being loose in the chest, it fits perfectly. Slides right over my head, and hangs on my frame nicely. A few stitches under each arm should fix chest. Other reviews say the body of the dress (without the fringe) is too short in the back, especially if you bend over. I'm 5'8" and it falls just about mid thigh in the front (just below the knee with fringe) and covers what needs to be covered in the rear while standing. Ladies in dresses don't bend over at the waist, they bend their knees! But unless you're in the Ladies Room, a gentleman should pick up whatever you dropped 😉. Because color choices were limited in my size, I bought the champagne color (would have loved to have blue!!). A few beads will fall off, but all in all, I'm satisfied with this dress.

This dress was great!! We did a 1920's theme for our family reunion and this dress was an absolute hit. The fit was amazing and it does have just enough stretch to hug your curves. I am 5'8 & 210 pounds. I ordered the XL. I hope this helps someone.😊

Love it beautiful dress fits perfect

OMG I can't say enough about this dress. I was so pleased with the quality. Thick material because of the under layer. Side zipper was perfectly hidden. Sequins sewn tight and covered entire dress. Absolutely stunning. Now about the fit (which was my biggest concern since I got the dress the day before my event), fit was as expected according to the sizing chart. I checked each of the categories prior to ordering. I am 5'4" and 130lbs. I tend to fall between a size 5/6 but am currently a healthy 6 (which is why i was worried). I have thick thighs and hips. I ordered a small and there was a little extra room throughout but it was tight enough to be smok'n hot. I did order a medium just in case and it was too big though I would have been fine with it if I had not ordered the small. I hope y'all enjoy the dress as much as I did. I plan to buy another color for next year. Oh- length was great too, the cut that everyone talks about landed several inches below my rear end. I had absolutely no issues with my bottom showing. The strings went just below my knees which is what i was hoping for.
