I can't quite see why there would be negative reviews on this product. It's the most cost-effective solution to not having side rails on my car. The bars expand to fit the roof size. I'm sure there are "sturdier" cross bars out there, but for the price I couldn't beat this one. If you need something affordable for a long weekend or summer trip to the lake, get 'em!
