I used this to make tart size graham cracker crusts in my mini muffin pans and it worked perfectly. I baked the crusts, then made a ganache with chocolate and heavy cream. Chilled it then filled the mini crusts, added 5 mini marshmallows to the top and broiled them to toasty perfection! Chilled again before removing from the pans and voila! adorable and tasty bite size s'mores desserts! I had a little extra crust mixture so put it into a muffin size bowl and used the larger end which worked perfectly too! Can't wait to use them for more tasty treats!

It does make it easier to make shortbread crusts in my mini muffin tin, but it is hard to get it positioned just right so it is even. Always thinner on one side than the other but that is probably user error. It's faster than doing it by hand.

I've recently been experimenting with using cookie dough to make individual cups for desserts in a muffin tin. This works perfectly. Just place a ball of dough in the muffin cup and press it out with this pastry press. Makes very nice uniform pastry cups. Much better than using fingers.

I love this product so much. It does exactly what it's designed to do. Makes the job of making tart crusts a breeze. I just stick the tamper in a bowl of flour every now and then to make sure my dough doesn't stick to it. Then she's good to go! Love this.
