Easy install works well.

The install is easy. You do need to know the wiring of your backup light to hook up the camera. It does require 12 volts at the reverse light bulb. You do have to splice the wires from the camera portion into power and ground of your reverse light. If your get less than 12v at your backup light then you'll need to find another source of 12 volt power somewhere back there. Once installed the images are clear and it comes on instantly when you go into reverse. If you have a cigarette lighter that is always on the monitor portion has a button to turn the monitor on and off this is very convenient and helps avoid draining your battery. Overall this is much easier than having to run a wire from the back of your car to the front. You may want to research installation of a backup camera on your particular car to make sure it's a good match.

Back up cameras are one of those things you can pay very little on or a lot on. This wireless camera and monitor had excellent reviews and was moderately priced. It was amazingly easy to install (though having some wiring experience helped). Removing the taillight assembly on my F-150 was the most difficult part. Using a simple wire tap and loosening/retightening a frame bolt was the labor part. The monitor mount took seconds. The instructions were lacking in detail (and in semi-mangled English) but gave enough of an idea to figure it out. For the money, this is a great set up.
Product does not work at night. Must turn on and off every time you back up

I installed this on my car. Instructions are nonexistent. The backup lights worked one time and no longer work. Product does not work at all at night won't even turn on if it's dark. If you're not backing up the screen says no video see you literally have to turn it off and on every time you back up. But only in the daytime cuz it does not work at night
Great product and easy installation

This camera is awesome, I installed it on a Toyota Solara convertible which has terrible visability when backing up. The Camera provides a crystal clear view, and the guide lines help me judge distance. I set up a object two feet away from car and was able to figure out which guide line was approximately two feet. This helps me especially at night. Great price and very well constructed camera. Installed it into my navigation system which came in the car. Highly recommend. By the way the wiring is very straightforward and was very easy to hook up.
UPDATE: You get what you pay for, often even less..

Worked great for about three weeks. Then started having intermittent issue where there was no picture. Now there is nothing but a black screen when I'm in reverse. Verified all the wiring. Just a cheap product.
Update: After posting my initial one star review, the seller contacted me (on their own accord) and offered a refund or replacement, my choice. I opted for a replacement because when the camera worked, it worked very well. Loved the picture and especially the night view. Enough cannot be said about the great customer service from eRapta. I promptly received the replacement and installed it almost immediately. So far, it is perfect. It isn't often you come across a seller that values their customers, this one does.
