Disclaimers: I am not an "audiophile" in the strictest sense of the word, but I do understand what sounds clear and full, given my background in music and broadcasting. Moreover, I go for sound AND comfort, so I'm a tough customer.

There are two reason the Beats Studio On-Ear Wireless don't get 5-stars.
(1) Wow. Hefty pricetag (I purchased mine refurbished to avoid paying the premium).
(2) Still a touch uncomfortable after extended listening, but I suspect that will be the case with any on-ear cans.

I have tried a multitude of headphones before finally settling on the Beats. You will pay for the name, yes, and there are other options out there without the brand, so perhaps do your research before you settle on these - unless you can get them refurbished. In comparison to the V MODA Crossfades, I prefer the Beats as there is more variety and range of sound. Beats are still probably geared more toward dance or electronic and hip-hop, but I have NO complaints about the richness in sound when I switch from hip-hop to jazz or classical.

When you look at something like the Bose TrueSound, I still prefer the Beats as you get a fuller sound when you employ the Active Noise Canceling. The cups fit snugly on the Beats, but they are not as lightweight as the Bose, by any means, so if you are looking for a super lightweight on-ear device, you might want to check those out.

I tried the Beats Solo and Solo 2 before the Studio, and I can attest you get what you pay for. The original Solo were more cheaply built and didn't seem to provide any advantages to my older VMODAs. The Solo 2 certainly had better sound, a better build quality and were more "noise canceling" (if you will), but MAN they were tight on my head. I could justify the price tag, even for the Solo 2, if I didn't have at least a modicum of long term comfort on my ear.

After about a week of using the Studio Wireless, I only find I don't like that I have to charge them because life seems to be increasingly about finding a power source these days, but what do you expect when you get a WIRELESS headphone. I am a huge fan of the fact that Beats offers you a regular cable to plug in AND a cable with an in-line mic to handle phone calls, etc. As far as cons go, that's about it. They are not *perfectly* comfortable, but they are like pillows compared to some of the other on-ear cans I have tried.

If you're willing to drop the dough, I doubt you'll be sorry.

These beats have wonderful sound quality and clarity. They are extremely comfortable and surround the ear, without placing pressure on the ear. The beats truly drowns out most external noise, and the blue tooth capability makes them very convenient!

OOOHHH WEEE. These are the best pair of headphones I have ever owned. So comfy, great clarity, fun as hell. I bought them for chilling and they are perfection.

The head phones are amazing work just like new the only thing I didn't like was that the package was missing a beats carabiner

Nothing is wrong look brand new. But I comes with a case, I bought a extra case for no reason because it said it doesn't come with a hard case.
