So far, this is my best MCT powder option... leaves a scratchy feeling in throat when used in coffee

Updated October 2023:
I think I will stick with this 'Sports Research MCT Oil Powder'
The brand that was my favorite (Intent. Bare) came back in stock, but sadly they reformulated and their product has a very strong chemical smell and taste which I do not feel safe consuming at all.
Sports Research powder has become my permanent backup as I continue to try out other brands. I have tried quite a few and so far this is the best option for me.

In coffee, with nothing else but this powder, I get a scratchy/dry feeling in the back of my throat after every drink. It may be because I am using a heaping scoop and the extra is too much.
Iknow it's not the coffee because I don't have this issue with other powders. I also don't think it is the added calcium because similar powders with that I tried don't give the same feeling.
Smell when opening canister is slightly sweet, otherwise no actual smell.
Consistency is fine, but retains the shape of scoop like wet sand does.
I have been using MCT powders in my coffee for a long time. My favorite brand has been sold out recently for a while so I have been looking for an organic, unflavored, pure substitute. So far I cannot fine a suitable replacement for use in coffee.

as far as flavor, there is none, unless your taking it straight maybe? I use it in my coffee, it makes it feel a little oily but thats about it. I think it def makes u need the restroom lol. If you need help in that dept. as some of my family does, this does the trick if u use a lot. I feel it does help with my old man brain fog, I will continue to use it. I also use it in my oatmeal, u can put it in about anything.
Sports Research Organic MCT Oil - Keto & Vegan MCTs C8, C10

Pros:
Quality Ingredients: This MCT oil is derived from coconuts, and it contains MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides) in the form of C8 (caprylic acid) and C10 (capric acid), which are known to be the most efficient for quick energy and ketone production.
Easy to Incorporate: It blends seamlessly into my morning coffee, smoothies, and even salad dressings. The mild coconut flavor enhances the taste without being overpowering.
Sustained Energy: I've experienced a noticeable increase in energy levels and mental clarity shortly after taking it. It's particularly beneficial when following a ketogenic diet to support ketosis.
Vegan-Friendly: As a vegan, I appreciate that this MCT oil is plant-based and doesn't contain any animal-derived ingredients.
Organic and Non-GMO: It's reassuring to know that the product is organic and non-GMO, ensuring that I'm putting the best quality into my body.
Cons:
Price: The quality of this MCT oil comes with a slightly higher price tag compared to some other options on the market. However, for the quality and benefits it provides, I believe it's worth the investment.
In summary, Sports Research Organic MCT Oil is a top-notch product for anyone on a ketogenic diet or looking to incorporate the benefits of MCTs into their daily routine. It's easy to use, provides sustained energy, and is made from high-quality, organic ingredients. While it may be a bit more expensive, the overall quality justifies the cost in my opinion.

Sport Research puts out good products, and this is one of them. I love it in my coffee. It's better than cream or cream substitutes. No chemical taste like the flavored creamers. This is my favorite MCT oil powder.

I recently purchased the Sports Research Keto MCT Oil from Organic Coconuts, and so far I'm loving it. Its triple ingredient blends of C8, C10, C12MCTs make it perfect to add to coffee, tea, and other food and drinks. Not only does it have great health benefits, it also tastes great. I really like that it's non-GMO and vegan, making it a great choice for a healthy lifestyle. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it gives me an extra boost of energy. It's also a great source of fatty acid fuel for the body and brain, so I know I'm getting the best nutrition possible. Overall, I'm really happy with this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great MCT oil to add to their diet.
