Very handy indeed, lovely pressure cooker with multiple settings ... does the job well !

Got this as a Christmas gift, loved the unit, the read outs etc.... but, the steam release knob after approx 5 uses became loose or rusted or whatever it was. I contacted customer service and they said provide me with an order number etc... I had told them it was a gift from Christmas. I went back & forth a few times with what I thought should constitute a replacement part for "Christmas gift". Customer service responded with I'm only following company policy... I let them know that they didn't stand behind their product and you get what u pay for. Saving couple of bucks when purchasing their pressure cooker might not be worth it. GoWise may have saved themselves from paying for a 15 dollar replacement part, but lost a customer who would recommend their products to others for purchasing. Now, after a few weeks of back & forth listless chatter, it's after the "return" date from Amazon for Christmas stuff. I'm stuck with buying a GoWise replacement part and who knows if they'll stand behind that as well?

Oh my! I just received my pressure cooker today (the day before Thanksgiving!'') I could not be more pleased! I read many many many reviews on all of the pressure cookers. The Instant Pot pretty much had the best reviews....for around double the price. I couldn't have spent that much so I went with the one that had great reviews and really good costumer service (as per reviews). Someone had stated that you could not sauté with the lid off but that is so wrong and I will add a photo I took of the instructions where it even says you do not have to have the lid on. I imagine if you do sauté with the lid on then it may lock and overheat. I have made 4 things today. 5 dozen hard cooked eggs, in two batches and 5 mins each batch. (Around 7 or 8 mins total) I filled the entire pot with potatoes and had steamed perfectly potatoes in 5 minutes ( maybe 9 total time). I love how fast it is (even compared to some other pressure cookers), how there's not all the mess and I can walk away from it and return to food cooked to perfection! Let me also say that I am a novice at pressure cooking and have had no problems with the instructions. I cooked up some chicken that turned out perfect as well. I can't wait to learn more and pressure cook more! I will update if I have any issues. Another reason I chose this cooker is the heavy duty stainless steel pot, it has a nice bottom where you can even cook in it on the stove top.... but I'm loving this too much to do that! You can't beat the price or quality!

We bought this on November 10, 2015. For a whole year, it worked great! We made soups, beans, cereals, etc. Then today, November 21, 2016, it stopped working. It's no longer under warranty so we are out of luck.

I LOVE this thing!! Makes meal prep so easy -- and fast. Also, I don't stress over it blowing up like I do when using my stovetop pressure cooker. Everything I've made in it so far has turned out fantastic. I love not heating up the kitchen in this summer heat!!
