I bought the 1 inch CAP brand weight bar with the spiral ends and thought, "cr@p, I hate spinning the weight stoppers on and off, it takes Forever!" and I can't do quick transitions in BodyPump and be held back by the spinner guards. I bought these and they lock down tight on the spiral bar with no problems. They're also available in cute colors. Shipped fast, good quality, so happy with these!

Really happy with my purchase! I am a frequent body pump attendee and at my local gym quality clips are usually stolen or taken right off the bat! With that being said, I opted for these barbell clips and didn't have high hopes but am happy to say they work well! They are pretty tight and seem secure when I clamp on my weights.

Since bodypump's focus is "light weights and lots of reps" I can't vouch for how much weight these can help secure on but the max I've personally put so far has been around 30 pounds. Will update as I continue to increase my weights.

Tldr; Super useful and grateful for my purchase. Worked really well especially for the pricepoint. If you're buying these to use at a local gym where they have their own clamps (or clips, same difference) I'd recommend getting a funner or brighter color so no one thinks you're taking the gym's set!

Love these for the convenience of quick weight adjustments. I may well get another set. However, I am not sure if these would hold a lot of plates sloshhing around on the bar. Luckily that is not something I need to worry about most times.
I wish these would fit bars with threads though!

I like the first set I purchased of these so much, that I ended up buying for more just because they work so well and I am so lazy. So here's the count: one set for each dumbbell (2), one set for the curl bar, one set for the overhead lat attachment, and one for the leg lift attachment. I have of course purchased different colors just for fun. I have 1 inch straight ends and 1 inch threaded ends, for which these work amazingly well. I'm not putting a whole lot of weight on the dumbbells and I'm also not tossing them around at all sorts of angles or jerking them about. The threaded metal collars that came with the dumbbells were constantly slipping, even with only 2.5 pounds on each end where these are really solid. If I ever got to the point where the weight didn't feel solid on the dumbbells, I'd use a combination the original metal screw on holders and then these. So it would be weight plate, metal screw on holders, and then these clamps to prevent slipping.

These clamps are great, and quick and easy to use. I don't understand the people giving these a bad review due to them not holding much weight. The item is described as a BARBELL clamp, not a dumbbell clamp. These are made for horizontal barbells, and that is the only thing you should be utilizing them for.

I use them on both a solid ended barbell and a threaded ended barbell and they work on either. They do fit a bit more snug on the smooth, solid ended barbells, but they work on either.
