Great little amp!
Andrew White✓ Verified PurchaseFebruary 12, 2018
Great little amp. The only reason for not five stars is 1) when connecting via bluetooth, the speakers make a little popping sound. Nothing to really be concerned about, but it can be startling if you forget it does that. And 2) if someone connects via bluetooth on their smartphone and then forgets to disconnect when they're done, anyone else trying to connect via bluetooth from a different device gets locked out, until that first person disconnects. And 3) if you connect a TV directly to the amp, you may get a baseline buzzing or hissing sound. This isn't necessarily the amp's fault, but it requires buying some other kind of digital to analog converter box to fix the problem.

Having said all these things, I love the small dimensions and simple, sleek design, the bluetooth has worked from anywhere in the apartment, and it pushes some big, clear sound to my old Klipsch bookshelf speakers. In particular, I've been cranking some live Jimi Hendrix concerts. The volume and quality of the sound is exhilarating!!
great CLEAN sound, cheap price.

great product.

amazing clarity from a budget option, delivers plenty of power to my large 4" woofer bookshelf speakers without any hiss or crosstalk.

if you are coming from vintage 70s class a amplifiers, this will sound very clear, but lack the warmth you are used to. it won't get hot, it's most likely going to pay for itself In a few months just purely on energy savings alone

included power adaptor fits in the recepticle properly and seems to have been fixed since other reviews.

What a great product.

I took a couple of months to finally get around to researching the options for a wireless amp that I could mate to my old AIWA twin 40 watt speakers which I retained after throwing out the ancient triple CD player deck they came with.

I first came across the Fosi (blue) mini amp which didn't have bluetooth but after a little more research found this unit which is only 10 bucks more ... as I wanted to be able to connect my phone or laptop quickly with no wires this was the best option.

The device came quickly several days ahead of the original delivery estimate so that was cool, I unboxed it. Great quality you can feel the sturdiness of the metal, well crafted. The toggle switch is solid, the volume dial is smooth...though if it had a larger diameter it would allow some more volume control fidelity.

Getting it up and working was a literal 4 minute affair.

I connected the speakers using the twist connectors on the back, I plugged the adapter into the amp then into the wall (as they insist you do).

Then powered it on...as described the blue tooth was broadcasting and my phone connected, an audio bump attends each connection disconnection. I set up the device as a trusted blue tooth on my phone which would allow it to auto connect when my phone is in proximity so I don't have to actively connect it so long as my blue tooth is on my phone which is super convenient.

I started playing various audio, I played some high quality mp3's and it was great to hear those speakers come to life for the first time with a high quality amp that could push them to their limits (this amp is 50w per channel so I need to be careful). I also played some youtube videos which sound so much better coming through full powerful speakers (which I have on the ground so there is the bass effect).

Needless to say they just work, really great I am considering buying another one and a pair of new speakers just to use in my other room, I considered at first getting a Google chrome Audio because it allows connection through wifi but I would still would have had to buy a mini amp to drive these speakers so decided to get this since blue tooth has pretty good range and often better quality than wifi and like I said this version of the mini amp was only 10 bucks more than the non blue tooth version.

Highly recommended.
Very Impressive and Enjoyable

OK, lived with it for a couple of weeks now, and am really very impressed. My background is a former budget audiophile who has been unable to set up a decent system for six years now- and decided to see what ChiFi is all about. Last system was vintage Amber Series 70 amp/Parasound preamp/NAD cd/Magnepan MMG and I'm comparing this to my memory of that.

I've paired this Fosi AudioTPA3116 based integrated amp with Q Audio 3010 speakers and a Chromecast Audio. The Q Audios are small enough so that I'm unable to judge lower region bass availability, and the ChromeCast Audio means that I'm still dealing with Spotify compression, but with those caveats here we go...

Very surprised at the available power and the control this had over the (small) speaker cones. Chose it because this board design appears to have more capacitors then others on Amazon, but I was used to having big cans in the Amber and was skeptical on it's high-current demand performance. At least with the small speakers I need not have worried, this sounds easy and effortless within it's smaller wattage environment. Don't sense the amp straining or playing catch-up with varied types of music. They say these things have around 90% efficiency, and it shocks me that there's this much push available from this tiny unit. If you're banging big speakers at high volume you may feel differently, but for normal/louder listening levels in a 300 sq ft room this just pours it out.

Transparency and presence are very good, with believable voices and instruments that have impact and some resonance. Sound staging and imaging are also good with easily located musicians in a reasonably wide area- that area is a bit shallow though, without great depth, and the musicians sound slightly distant instead of right there in your room. The important caveat here is the Chromecast Audio limitations. I believe that these areas are particularly affected by streaming through Spotify rather than a direct connection from a disc player or lossless audio feed and my issues may well have to do with the source.

The tonal quality does seem dry to me. Not harsh in any way, but vocals and stringed instruments particularly don't have the warmth that I prefer (very dry at first listen with typical improvement over time.) That being said, there's lots of detail here, and you can even hear a bit of breathing/fingering/striking. It's a more analytical approach, and really the amount of information available is extremely impressive for this price. I think this reflects the quality of the preamp that's in there, and that kinda leads to the idea that there's a very short signal path in this thing. With a really small board, no tone controls and only one input, seems to me that even though the chip is playing around with DSP in some way that I don't understand, there's a lot of 'straight wire with gain' positives here.

This does not sound like an expensive high-bias AB amp with a 10 pound heat sink. Don't expect that, but this is a much better than anticipated integrated amp that is of high enough quality to allow for enjoyable critical listening and is great value! It sounds considerablly better than a typical 1980s/1990s mass market receiver, and at this price it's a ridiculous bargain. Back in the Dino days, you would pay much, much more money to get this kind of sound quality. A great entry into higher-end sonics.
High Quality Audio, Compact Size

I bought this (physically) small two-channel amplifier to drive the satellite speakers of a modest home theater sound system I put together for my Sweetheart for Christmas. The power output from the amplifier is more than sufficient to drive those units, as the bass portion of the audio (below 100 Hz) is handled by a self-powered woofer I purchased for that purpose , a Theater Solutions SUB8SM Slim Subwoofer (Mahogany) - please see my Amazon review of that item, if you're interested. How does it all sound? Very convincing, to write the least. If you're after end-of-the-world soundtrack and music levels, this little amp isn't for you. But, if you seek a really nice, good fidelity amplifier, this will fill the bill. Highly recommended!!
