I had a gummed up carb that I could not remove the main jet from to clean and unplug so ordered this to solve my problem. As well as the carb it has the primer and tubing, a fuel filter and a gasket set. I only needed the carb itself and it was a direct swap, 30 minutes and the engine started with the first pull. It's definitely an after market item, but appears well manufactured and it works fine. I spent $16 for this vs. $35 for a carb rebuild kit from MTD that probably would not have worked out.

Purchased this package to repair my snowblower. Replacement was simple, nice that they included a primer bulb as mine was cracked. The inline filter is a simple screen, however the fuel line from my tank to the carb does not have room to place it so I did not install it. Although this is a after market device my snowblower runs great but it will not idle a the normal low rpm. Something is not the same as the factory carb. Adjusting the idle screw to its lowest setting still will not bring the rpm down. On the plus side the snowblower starts on the first pull!
