I suspect that is the actual good stuff and I'm getting the second weaker dosage

Leaks and didn't come with the water hardness test slip. On the other hand it works most of the time. About 1 in every 9 the 'espresso' that comes out is watery and leaks coffee around the machine. I suspect that is the actual good stuff and I'm getting the second weaker dosage. Been cleaning it up with paper towels, but next time will be sure to taste first then clean.

Great machine. One of the few that is sideways and not front to back in orientation. My wife is loving the americano setting and I use the hot water sometimes for tea. The height of the sprout is a little weird. Sometimes it is too high and sometimes it is too low for my cups.
I spent about an hour on the phone with two very helpful Nespresso reps before they recommended returning and replacing the machine

I purchased two of these machines and both times they have sadly been defective. The first one would not brew espresso, however, the hot water feature did work. I spent about an hour on the phone with two very helpful Nespresso reps before they recommended returning and replacing the machine. The replacement machine brews espresso just fine, however, this time around the hot water does not come out smoothly as it seems the water line is cracked. It seemed to have air entering the line and water would be all over my counter which is why I suspect that was the issue. The few capsules I was able to brew were great though. Seems something may be wrong with this particular model or they were handled roughly leading to internal items breaking.

After searching a long time for a coffee that was hot I purchased this machine. Now I wish I had not as the coffee is hot but is not flavourful. Returning to my manual stovetop espresso maker.
