I absolutely do not understand the 5-star reviews here. These towels are easily some of the worst I've ever purchased. They literally push water around and don't absorb it at all. I even tried washing them and sending them through the dryer (without dryer sheets so they do not get a waxy buildup), and still the same result. They're worthless as dish towels but will probably suffice as hand towels in the kitchen. Some darn expensive hand towels...

I feel as though kitchen towel wisdom is something you either have, or you don't. I never did. I used the same crappy towels meal after meal, day after day, year after year and most times I just reached for the more absorbent, less eco friendly paper towel. I suspect kitchen towel wisdom is something that is handed down by mother's to their kitchen protege kids. My mother never handed down that wisdom and she's no longer around for me to ask her why.

A few weeks ago something snapped me out of my clueless state (not sure what or why) and I started to think about a better kitchen towel. I yearned for something more absorbent yet still beautiful. I poured over reviews here on Amazon and ultimately landed on these Fecido Classics. So certain was I that I'd found the holy grail of dish towels that I purchased six straight away. Incredibly, they did not disappoint. These things suck up water like a siphon in a swimming pool. Amazing. They are THAT good. And they're good looking as well. Recently our dogs came in from the yard covered in wet mud. I didn't have a towel handy so I grabbed one of these.... in just a couple of minutes I had them both dried off so they didn't track their muddy paws around the house. Amazing

I was afraid that they wouldn't hold up to a washing machine but alas, they look every bit as good today after two or three washes as they did when I unboxed them.

QUESTION: Everyone talks about the HANGING LOOP on these and they do indeed have one. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE FOLKS HANG THESE? My kitchen doesn't have hooks anywhere.

BOTTOM LINE: Superb absorbency. Good looking towel. Holds up to washing. Makes kitchen cleanup and drying so much easier than it was before

I had been using microfiber cloths as my dish towel but I didn't like that the towel did not wipe my dishes or pots dry. With my Fecido kitchen dish towels, all my dishes and pots and pans become dry with no more than two swipes. The towels have some heft to them and they are certainly large enough. I like them very much and would highly recommend them. Don't hesitate.

After six months of using and abusing these dish towels, including bleaching them with Clorox, I'm back for more. I like their looks in my white-and-black kitchen (I also have plain white ones), but most of all they're simply the best dish towels I've found anywhere--including a variety of major cooking-equipment websites--at any price. They're good-looking, thirsty, plenty large, and unusually for this kind of towel, lintless. The black checks don't run in the wash. They deal with everything from my wide-mouthed coffee mugs to my 12-quart stock pot. The only thing they won't deal with is narrow-mouthed glassware, but if the regular, not-heavy-duty variety may do that. Haven't tried because I don't care. Parabéns ao Fecido e Portugal.

My husband is the cook in our family and always goes in for king-sized everything. I'm the clean-up staff, so both of us use these towels quite a bit. We love them! They are very generously sized, do what a towel is expected to do, and come out of the laundry looking very nice. We paired the checkered towels with the white companions by Fecido, which still show the "graph paper" design of the small squares in the pattern. Would definitely buy again, but I don't think I'll need to do so very soon. Certainly gift-worthy.
