This is the best technique I have found to make Nespresso-machine compatible capsules. Using the kit available separately l(which I have also reviewed) looks like the idea of filling the pod from the back is the right way for inserting and then tamping the coffee. I am using this with ground espresso powder (e.g. Illy) and grinding my own coffee. =After getting used to this system coffee making is consistent and fast. This system is not perfect. For some reason it is hard to close the lid of the Nespresso machine and the initial flow is not perfect as for some reason I get some water out before the coffee starts flowing. I suspect that the pod sealing is not great. Having said that, it does make great espresso and it is a way to explore your own beans.
