I choose this among other products for fact that it have stainless steel lid , well it's stainless with plastic , so hot water makes contact with plastic when you pour out kettle. Also lid have annoying push button to open and have to use push button to close lid. Kettle will not shut of automatically when lifted of the stand. Sonyabecca Kettle probably would be better choice for me

The kettle works as designed and I like that there are few plastic pieces that touch the hot water. I don't like how hot the sides get after boiling. I also don't appreciate that I ordered a white version but received the white/blue handle version.

It works well, does the job of boiling 2.L water in a few minutes, I removed the filter. I am used to pouring out water from Brita filter pitcher, so it is manageable for me to lift up 2.L hot water electric glass kettle, not heavy to me at all. Inside the cover is metal with plastic surrounding. After a month of daily use, I can see some white mineral deposit and two tinny little rust spot started to show on the metal boiling plate. But I can handle that by following the cleaning instruction, or use citric acid tea pot cleaner to get rid off the miner deposits, and other water related wear and tear on the kettle. My kettle has one tinny bubble in the glass wall, and one tinny unnoticeable blemish, I have good eyes, I could have return it and get a replacement, but since it did not affect the function of the kettle, I decided to keep it. I enjoy using this glass electric kettle after all.

Where have you been all my life? Quickly heat up water I make fresh ginger,lemon, cinnamon and honey tea by the time I finish preparing the ingredients for tea water already to pour. Not like the tea kettle waiting 6 to 7 minutes for water to boil. Also nice kettle with nice blue lights, well made.
