I really like adding a small pinch of salt to my water, but hate the taste. These help me get my water in, with the little bit of salt, and enjoy the taste. They also don't give me the same digestive problems I had with frequent lemon use.

And this bulk price seems to be the best option out there for people who want to use these regularly.

I'd love if they offered a big bulk bag where you could scoop a serving, or if they offered other flavors in this large bulk option. But regardless, this is good stuff.
Lime. Simply lime. Exactly what the package says it is

tl;dr it's great in tea, hot chocolate, and covers the posassium citrate taste in my home-brew electrolyte drink, cheaply and efficiently. It's perfect for what it does.

It adds a pleasant flavor to water that covers the "tap water" taste or even the taste left over after the water has been through a Brita filter. You can also make limeade with it, or flavor tea or hot chocolate. More importantly, because this is what I bought it for, it covers the taste of potassium citrate.

One packet in an 8oz glass of water or a 16oz water bottle seems to do it for me as a flavor enhancer.

1/2 packet in a 11oz tea or hot chocolate is plenty. If you are not familiar with the joys of lime hot chocolate, you need to give it a go.

Takes a lot to make a glass of limeade: I use 6 packets and 3 tablespoons of raw sugar. But that's still just $0.42 vs $1 for a lime (plus the extra work).

And it makes a good vodka and lime.

I have water with a half teaspoon of potassium citrate twice a day. That normally has a taste that is best described as "strange", sort of like diluted milk. My normal solution, "just add tea" doesn't work. You cannot potassium citrate with tea: they react and form something that tastes horrible. I should have realized that they wouldn't mix, because potassium citrate can be used to clean stains on teacups.

Fresh lemon tastes great with potassium citrate, but a good glass of lemonade is expensive: $1 for the lemon, plus the sugar, plus the work. So I looked into "flavor enhancers". This was actually one of the first I tried, but reviewing it sort of ended in the back of my mind when I ended up doing reviews of the products that failed.

Anyway, this stuff rocks. I'm going to try the other flavors.

While on a cross-country flight a couple of months ago, I ordered a vodka with lime-flavored tonic water. When the flight attendant brought my drink, she gave me a packet of True Lime and said, "take this in case your tonic water doesn't have enough flavor." My drink was fine, so I tucked that little packet of lime in my purse and forgot about it. A few weeks ago, I was making my daily cocktail and realized I had no limes on hand. I found that little packet of True Lime and stirred it into my drink. Fabulous. Amazing. I'm on a quest to lose at least half of my body weight, so it's important that what little food I consume now has robust flavor. I use the True Lime and True Lemon every day--in my water bottle, on vegetables, in yogurt, on fish and chicken, and to punch up my daily Tito's and sugar-free tonic. OMG, this stuff is sooooo good!
My new favorite way to drink water. Read on for how I mix it

Out of all the flavors that they make the lime is the best.

I believe one packet is supposed to flavor 8 ounces of water however I find this is too weak for my taste. For my 16 ounce water bottle I use at least three packets and sometimes four.

The lemon flavor just tastes like a weaker version of lime. The orange flavor is different and also good.

This company also makes premix packets that are already sweetened and have additional flavors, but they sweeten them with Stevia, which I do not enjoy the taste of.

I like to mix this with water and a little agave syrup and have it with me in a water bottle throughout the day to help keep me hydrated.

Unlike fresh lime juice, I find it these packets really need at least a touch of sweetener mixed in with them to be enjoyable otherwise they just don't taste right.

I typically don't mind things being a little bitter so it's more than just that. Maybe it is because when they make the crystallized concentrate they take all of the natural sugars out of it.

I would be curious to know how much if any ascorbic acid (vitamin c) makes it into this product.

I suspect not very much if any ascorbic acid makes it into the final crystallized mix of this product because I have to wash (not just rinse) out my water bottle fairly frequently to stop scum from growing along the inside walls of the bottle.

Ascorbic acid is a natural preservative so if it was in there I doubt this would happen so quickly.

I've been considering buying some powdered ascorbic acid and mixing a little bit it into my drink mix myself to see if it improves the taste even further.

It would also help me get a little more vitamin C in my diet and possibly allow me to keep the bottle clean with more rinsing and less washing.
Pantry Staple

Because I live in a rural area where I can't just run to the store, I keep these in the pantry for those odd occasions when I need some lemon/lime juice and am out of the fresh stuff. There are desiccant packets inside to keep the powder from caking and it comes in a convenient shaker top, although I'm not sure why - most recipes require a measured amount of lemon/lime juice. These powders do make a fantastic frosting combined with cream cheese and a little powdered sugar.
