Amazing little amp

Amazing little amp, big on clean power. Will fill the room with very fine sound when hooked up to a good source and pre-amplification and some decent speakers. Comfortably powered a set of Infinity Crescendo series speakers.Recommended.
If it works, it is great, when it doesn't it is a waste of money.

arrived. bad power supply. tech support. I end up having to try a bunch of stupid things after I told the guy 'the power supply is no good'... it is really unbelievable what passes for support. A week later, they send a power supply (having PRIME® is a waste with products that don't work...) now it works... great little amplifier, perfect for my shop... but, in truth, everytime I turn this thing on, I'll remember the frustration and the ridiculous support and the long wait... which is not anyone's goal.

Fantastic Amp. It was so quiet I thought it was DOA at first. Very affordable. Would recommend and buy again. Best Amp for a simple budget home stereo setup. I love it.

I am a certified vintage audio guy, so I was extremely skeptical about the sound quality of something like this modern Chinese import with a (gasp!) class D amplifier chip. All my audio equipment (Marantz, McIntosh, Dynaco, etc.) was built before 1977, and I love the smooth sound from my systems.
So anyway... I bought this amp because I needed something small and portable for troubleshooting a Marantz 2270 receiver that was producing an annoying static-y sound at low levels. I connected the 2270's preamp output to this little amplifier and heard no more static, which helped me determine that the 2270 needed some work on the amplifier boards.
BUT.. .something magical happened. The sound from this chip amp was actually incredible! It rivaled the 2270's internal amp in many ways. It was full and detailed, and much more musical than I had expected for a $70 import. It delivered crisp clean power with a killer sound stage. However, if there is one criticism, it is a bit bright sounding, but that can be quickly and easily remedied by adjusting the treble on your pre-amp.
I did some A/B testing with this amp vs a McIntosh MC502 (late 70s solid state amp with 50 WPC) using a Marantz 3800 pre-amp. Let me tell you, this Fosi audio amplifier definitely held its own against the $700 vintage Mac! I couldn't believe it. I now use the Fosi/Marantz 3800 combo as my primary listening system.
I don't know if the Fosi actually qualifies as an audiophile-level piece of equipment, but paired with the right source and speakers, you can definitely get pretty darn close for a *fraction* of the price.
