This brush worked great on my delicate long haired cat and equally as well on my burly short haired cat. The beaded bristle tips kept the brush from irritating their skin and both cats let me brush them for an extended length of time.
Not soft, can't get through fur.

My cockapoo hated this stiff, pokey brush. The bristles are inflexible. They are too short to penetrate 1" fur/hair. They do not de-tangle without hard pulling. The brush head is too wide to get nooks and crannies. A simple flea comb works better.
My two finicky cats will only let me use this brush on them!

My two cats are extremely fussy about who or what touches them. I've tried 5 different brushes and they refused all. Only want to use MY hairbrush! I bought this and Hooray! They let me use it on them! We're gradually getting up to longer brushing times and getting rid of some of that unwanted hair! I'm thrilled!
