I got this to pull my users folder off the C: of my windows PC that was stuck in a repair boot loop and it worked perfectly. It did not work with my older D: HDD (assumption is it did not match the power requirements for that drive), but as that was just a data disk that wasn't a major issue.

I bought this about a month ago and I have successfully cloned three HDDs to SSD. I was impressed tat the kit comes with an IDE adapter, MOLE connector, as well as a sturdy USB cable that's long enough to set the drives to the side where they are out of the way so you can do other work while still being in easy reach. Direct cloning too me between 30-60 minutes depending on the drive I cloned. I like the fact it just works out of the box and I'm not dependent on software being comparable. Ive noticed that the time is dependent o the speed and condition of your source disk however its ALLOT faster than a clean install and then copping pasting and organizing all of your files.

I wanted to give this 5 stars, because it was a lifesaver, but the fit in the sockets gave me a little pause. Worked perfectly to pull data off of some old hard drive I had in various formats and interfaces. Works on Linux and Windows, didn't try anything else yet. Seems to be able to do everything I could do on a native drive. Only thing to watch for is that it doesn't hold in the sockets very well. I used a rubber band to make sure it didn't come loose or wobble around.
