I've had 2 of these the first had a tube failure no failt of the manufacturer as they do not make the tubes and the issue wasn't apparent untill the unit was under heavy load. I do wish the warranty included shipping.
Pros: sensitive and detects alpha. Really good tube and the tube accounts for 60% of the cost. Customer service is prompt and willing to troubleshoot and even provide custom code for your unit if it's not working the way it was intended. Software is versital. Results are dependable and repeatable so it feels accurate.
Cons: design is kinda flimsy. Ui is functioning but dated. USB mini. Bulky.
I recommend this product overall. I feel like GQ could do better on the astetics and build. But if functionality is the primary reason for purchasing then it's and obvious as a choice for the price it's unchallenged as a full spectrum geiger counter.

GQ 600+, Long battery life and the best GM tube

This is a strong four almost a five-star. This unit has excellent battery life. And after I tested it with one of our smoke detectors I was sure it is working properly. I didn't test it with it a typical radiation source but I'm sure it's working. The only negative I have to say about it is it constantly forgets which display mode I last left it in. I'll set it to graphic and when I come back to it later it's in some other mode, I then set it to graphic again and hours later it'll be in a different mode. Otherwise it works great.
I am pleased it has the highly sensitive Pancake Geiger tube LND 7317 for Alpha, Beta, Gamma and X-Ray radiation. I consider that a plus.
07/18: bought some potassium chloride salt substitute and measured it with the gq600+, sure enough its CPM count started climbing and it soon started beeping because that exceeded the default 150cpm threshold.

It is accurate and performs it's function as advertised

I have had the unit for about a month now. It is very sensitive, much more so than the GMC-500+ which I previously purchased. This is most likely owed to the US Made LND-7317 pancake tube that is used for detection.
The housing is a but bulky, but understandable for the tube that is enclosed within it. But, the plastic shell could use to be ruggedized more like other meters on the market.
User interface is a bit clunky, but it works after some experimentation. Software interface for a PC is the same.
The battery that comes with the unit was a complete disappointment, for the price paid a better 18750 battery could have been included. One of the first things that I did was to change out the stock, unprotected, 2,000 mAh Lithium Ion battery with a 3,400 mAh protected version (built in PCB to prevent over charge/discharge). With this change the meter runs easily for 12 hours continuous without showing a dent in its battery level displayed (it could probably go several days without a problem with this battery swap). Question is, why provide something at this price point with such a cheap, unprotected, low capacity battery when better ones are available for just a bit more?
The other thing is the software downloads.. The "Pro" version of GQ Data Logger Pro will not register even when you provide the serial number of the meter as stated in the instructions, you are basically stuck in demo mode from what I've seen thus far (and I tried multiple times over a month to register with no avail).

Exactly what I wanted in terms of detection.

The media could not be loaded. Purchased this product out of curiosity. I wanted to be able to detect alpha, beta, and gamma radiation. Xray was a bonus. Ordered a green uranium glass paperweight on ebay and this detector can detect the radiation coming from it. I'm going to assume this is alpha radiation because you have to sit the detector window on the back on top of the glass sample to get a reading. User interface is somewhat straightforward but i have not explored its full capabilities. I found it ready to go out of the box and this is how i use it.
Many features.

I am a "Radiation Worker" in the U.S. so I work with a variety of radiation detection equipment and radioactive sources. So far I am very happy with this GC. I have not been able to measure the accuracy yet as I haven't brought it to my company's Cobalt source used for calibration. Once I have done that I will update my review.
I like the variety of features and the display. I like that this unit has a Dosimeter feature and the next time I am in the field I will compare the readings of this unit with our "pencil" dosimeters. I will also compare this unit to our survey meters.
-The battery life is amazing. I left the unit on all day and the battery life was still at 98%. Very impressive.
-You can choose units in mR/hour (what we use in the U.S.) or uSv/hour which is more European.
-The fact that this unit can detect Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and X-ray is awesome. So far I have only been able to test Gamma and Alpha, I will follow up when I have X-ray exposure. I don't have a Beta source available to me at this time.
-On the con side, I wish the unit were more ruggedized. I definitely believe if I drop this unit from any height It will break. Some sort of optional "otter box" would be a nice addition.
- The user interface is not very intuitive at first, but once you play with it for a bit you will get the hang of it.
-I wish the unit had a belt clip or some way to attach the unit to the body.
