Throw away all other sugar substitutes...they're trash compared to this
Deborah Egitto✓ Verified PurchaseApril 24, 2018
PROS:
This is honestly the only sugar substitute that actually tastes like sugar and has no aftertaste.
I am on keto so I can't do sugar in my coffee anymore - prior to keto I kept Sweet Cream International Delight by the case.
I can't do any of the other sugar substitutes because they taste TERRIBLE. Stevie, Splena, yada yada...they all taste bad with a terrible aftertaste - but this does not. Even the Swerve (pure erythritol) has a weird cooling effect, but the added monk fruit in this cancels that out.
Honestly, you could give this to a sugar lover and not tell them and they would not notice.

CONS:
There is only one con, which is why I took off a star -- the price. Being a 1 to 1 sugar sub. this stuff is expensive. I mean, just to bake a pie you would be using like half the bag almost. I am not sure what I will be doing for baking subs, but for my coffee and small stuff, this sweetener is where it's at

Overall, even with the price, if you are like me, and need a sweet coffee, but can't stand fake sugars ---- buy this NOW.
I really like this sweetner
Veronica Renee✓ Verified PurchaseApril 9, 2018
I was pleasantly surprised! I really like this sweetner. No after taste or bitterness. The directions show that you can use it in the same ratio as sugar; however, I found that to be untrue when baking. It becomes very, very sweet. I baked cookies that called for one cup of sugar, so I used one cup of this sweetner. My cookies tasted as if I poured a pound of sugar in them. I had to throw them away. Also, this sweetner acted as a laxative for me. Once I get my portion controls together, this will probably be my go to sweetner.
I tried most sugar substitutions like stevia, agave

I tried most sugar substitutions like stevia, agave, truvia, equal...etc.
Stevia was my favorite thing but has some after tates.
I got monk sugar from whole foods market (which is different product) and I had amazing experience so I ordered this one.
This one maybe better taste than other one but NEVER melt on your water. If you try to put in the hot water or food, it melts just that moment; after chiling your food, it turns out solid like cushed ice. You will ruin your food if you don't finish your hot food at once. I tried to make a strawberry syrup(no heat),let them mix for two days in room temperature and failed. So i decided to make a strawberry jam (yes heat) rather than throw out, it looked great at the heat moment and it turned out like cruched ice after chilling..... messed up with my precious strawberries... so disappointed.I just give two stars because taste was not bad. Please consider my review and purchase it because it is not returnable item. (The other monk sugar got from whole foolds market was perfectly melt on cold water and never became solid again! And I see that product on Amazon too)
No aftertaste but noticeably less-sweet-than-sugar...

Tried this product after looking for something better than Pyure, which I thought had a bit of a cooling effect. I was worried when I dipped my finger in the crystals and immediately tasted that dreaded cooling effect. I decided to try it in 3 recipes, nonetheless, to see if the effect was still noticeable. So I used it in hot tea, while making whipped cream (after grinding it into a powder with a coffee grinder) and finally while making strawberry jam on the stove. In each and every case, the product acted well, without ANY aftertaste. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars and not 4 or 5 is that this product is not a 1 to 1 sweetness ratio to sugar as advertised on the package. I've been doing keto for over a year and I think I'm pretty sensitive to sweetness levels. This product requires half to double the amount to get to a comparable sweetness level of other sweeteners I have used. For example, in my tea, I usually take a teaspoon of sugar substitute (Truvia, Pyrure, Whole Earth). I had to use 2 teaspoons of the So Nourished to even begin to taste the sweetness and could have easily used 3. Similar upping of quantity was needed with whipped cream and jam. So, I'm going to continue looking for a sweet, no aftertaste sweetener that is cheaper than Swerve and Truvia which are my favorite 2 sugar substitutes.
Won't work with all recipes
lizzyanny✓ Verified PurchaseApril 3, 2018
I bought this primarily to bake with. I did try it in my coffee and it dissolved and tasted sweet. I then whipped up a batch of sugar cookies. They tasted and had the texture of playdough. Awful. There may be some recipes where this sugar will work, but not all of them. The promised recipes that will arrive when you send in an email never materialized. I recommend using recipes that have been developed for this product.
