Good pulse ox

I'm a respiratory therapist and use this daily in my work. We have a couple of small finger pulse oximeters from a different brand and I've compared readings with them, and they are very close in readings--the same as I get when I try our work finger pulse oximeters with our larger handheld, or the ones connected to the telemetry monitors in ICU.
I really like the plethysmography feature as I can see at a glance if it is getting enough blood flow to be accurate.
I only deducted a star because as someone who puts it on other people's fingers, not my own, the on/off button seems like it's in the wrong place. I'm always having to flip it around because intuitively, it seems like I should be opening the clip from the button side, but it opens on the other end.

It worked the first two weeks but after that the oxygen level was either nonexistent or 84 or 99 on the second try. No consistency whatsoever
so I gave it one star because the pulse readings were always accurate. Very disappointed and was ready to return it when I saw that it had a 30 day return only. Next time I will buy in a store where I can control the return if it is defective.

Tested against Welch Allyn monitor with a discrepancy of only 1-2% down to 75%. Reaction times are very good, display quite eligible, it resists mild tremor and the graph is a very nice bonus.
However, a nonin it is not. Build quality is nothing to write home about and the device has no resistance to the elements (or body fluids) whatsoever. For serious field work, on the streets or on the battlefield it will not replace a nonin onyx (for example). But for its price and as a supplamental device for a clinic on a tight budget, it sure fits the bill.

This is exactly what I needed. I am being treated for elevated resting heart rate, along with medication I am now easily able to keep track of and monitor my heart rate throughout the day. Upon pressing the power on button simply place finger inside and within 7 seconds you have a accurate real time reading of heart rate as well as spo2. Product uses 2 AAA batteries (included). Has a nice protective silicone cover installed over it as well. Highly recommend.
