I'm in love. The journal is truly beautiful, I bought one for my grandfather and will be purchasing many more. I am using mine as a personal journal to write in daily, I love the paper it's perfect for gel pens or ball points but I can not say the same for fountain pens as I do not use those. For me the paper is great quality! I also ordered three dotted inserts because for the sake of me I can not write straight on blank paper however I will make use of the paper that came with it. The possibilities are endless with this journal and it's antique look and feel makes it so extremely lovable. Please note that this journal does scratch easily and If you are the type that likes things to look perfect if might not be for you, however if you like the vintage distressed look it will be you soulmate!
Not Fountain Pen Friendly

Not fountain pen friendly at all. I used the last page of one of the notebooks to test my pens and inks. I started with a fine Pilot Decimo inked with Oxblood. It feathered and bled through the page. As much as I like the dotted format, I can't use these. I gave them to my sister to use in her own faux TN. I will stick to the Traveler's Company Lightweights inserts.
These are very slim and light. The page color is off white and the cardboard cover is sturdy.
Maybe it's the ink, Oxblood is very strong and in my pen, it is very wet. But it's the primary color I use.

I love wanderer's notebook and these inserts. nobody wants to pay more than a few bucks for a one time notebook, especially leather, so I love that this is completely reusable. This is my third set I'm buying, and I'm trying the lined ones this time, last two times I've used the blank ones. I'm sloppy so I figure the lines might help.
I use these for bible study, I try to always write everything I study to keep it fresh in my memory, and available for future generations that might look back and find my notes interesting. I use it with a pentel energetic pen, which is a pretty thick ink. It's a hybrid gel and liquid ink and is super smooth, long lasting and comfortable. I can use the back of these pages pretty well with that.
I use leather notebook, high quality pen and these refills to keep my most serious aspect of my life in a long lasting format for the future years to come. Excellent paper, never had any accidental rips, been using almost every night past few years.
