WONDERFUL LITTLE UNIT! I have 6 humidors... From a 500$ Diamond Crown to the horrible cheap ones that come free with cigars you buy online, and I'll tell you for the price you aren't going to get any better than this little guy. It is VERY well made and super attractive. Seems to hold a seal well and after handling them for a while I don't expect it to have a problem holding its RH. Time will tell if the Hygrometer is reliable, most aren't but this little thing if built better than 99% of them so maybe I'll get lucky. I love the little divider and long compact humidification reservoir - Everything is small but it's a great design. One thing about some of the affordable glasstops... many of them have loose glass and won't hold RH worth a damn, BUT IN THIS ONE the glass was snug and I vas very impressed. I always use food grade silicon (just a VERY TINY bead and then wipe it away with your finger) on the inside of the lid where the glass and the inside trim meet... this particular unit probably didn't need it but I did it anyway. It even came with a hand written personal note INSIDE the humidor (not just the box) thanking me for buying and asking if I was pleased to write a review, so I did. This shows that someone actually inspected the unit and wanted to make sure they were shipping something worth having and didn't just pull it off a pallet and throw it in a box.

I was very impressed with the Volenx Humidor. It is well made and feels sturdy. The hygrometer was very close when I synced it, just a degree off. Break in was fairly easy. I tried initially to use distilled water and sponge over several days and it was working somewhat. But during the break in process I received Humidor Solutions Propylene Formula (https://www.amazon.com/Humidor-Solution-Propylene-Formula-Humidifiers/dp/B07836XW7S) and used it to continue my break it. Within two days I was good to go. I filled up my humidifier with the mix and it has maintained a nice 70 degrees for the last two months, with just occasional top up with the formula. It keeps a good seal and the cigars all feels and smoke wonderfully. I couldn't ask for more out of a $30 humidor. As I only smoke a few cigars a week this more than serves its purpose for me. I am quite happy with it and would happily recommend it to others who like me are after a inexpensive but well made humidor and who are fairly light smokers.

Love the box! It's a beautiful red stained color, the glass is clear and gives a great range of vision over a small collection, cedar interior, gold hinges and hygrometer and it opens and closes very smoothly.

HOWEVER, mine is botched. I'm sure it is just an issue with mine and not definitive yo the entire brand but as you can see in the pictures I have way too many humidifiers in such a small box and it still will not cross 60% Humidity. I'm not sure if this is attributed to the seals of the box or A poorly calibrated hygrometer, but either way it is not of acceptable quality in that department to use. If it's not holding at 72% Humidity then it is useless. I hope the seller (Volenx) reaches out to send a replacement of which, received in full working order, will ABSOLUTELY receive a 5 STAR rating from me!

Contacted customer service and they completely refunded me without hassling me to send the unit back! Great customer service! Will buy another and update my review when I receive the new unit!

Overall good Humidor. After seasoning it for a few days it holds the humidity with 2% of my target. The reason I have to take a star away is the humidistat is total junk. It is not accurate at all and no way to adjust it. Easy enough fix is I put in my own digital one that is calibrated. Of course whats the point of putting a built in one to the humidifier if your going to put one that is junk.

This humidor looks and smells great. The wood is nice quality and the seal feels adequate. This issue I had is mold growing on my cigars a few months after seasoning and putting it to use. I don't know how accurate the hygrometer is and struggled to find the right percentage to keep my cigars from drying out but not growing mold.
