Prepared to be Humbled by the quality of product and customer care!

When looking for a fermentation crock, you'll find a wide variety of sellers who all have models that look quite identical, so you'd imagine that it shouldn't really matter where you buy one and just focus on finding the cheapest... but Humble House easily rises above the rest because of color choices, quality of packaging, quality of product and most importantly = quality of customer care.
This is a great Sauerkrock (even the name is fun and stands out compared to the competition)!... I really like the deep color of this imperial blue and the glazing quality both inside and out demonstrates the attention to detail. When I contacted the company about an issue of concern, they promptly demonstrated an even greater attention to their customer care philosophy: no negative customer experience
Skip the competition and get the positive customer experience you deserve... Humble House knows how to deliver.

Just got it and inspected it for any unglazed spots, etc. as many reviewers had said they had issues. The one I got have a very even glazing and the lid fits well on it. The vessel is a bit thin so I will not pound kraut in this one, but I will make pickled items in it. It sits a bit uneven, but it is hand made so I was not expecting it to be perfect, but a dishtowel underneath stopped the wiggle and it will serve to protect the crock and my granite counters as well. The shipping bot and foam packing ensure that this will not be damaged unless it gets run over by something. I have a bunch of nice pickling cukes that I harvested this past week and they will be going in for a brining session this week. I will update after the first use with any issues, thoughts or concerns, but from first glance, it appears well made and nicely finished.
Great tool for the kitchen chemist!

I currently have two of the 2L krocks to produce varied recipes of fermented foods. I love the intelligent design that has all the needed features thought out and in place. It makes this easy to work with and the good looks means I can keep it on my kitchen counter rather than hiding it in an already stuffed closet or cupboard. That makes it easier to monitor over the fermentation period.
As a retired wine merchant, professional brewer and avid sourdough fan this has helped me easily move into the realm of fermented foods. Having multiple 2L units means I can have variety quickly and experiment without getting too invested if I don't like the results of my experiments. I'll probably get one or two more to try and catch up on the various recipes we want in our diet. Love it!
I put a post-it note on the backside of each krock with the start date, recipe, and any observations so I can quickly and easily keep track of each batch.

The Crock arrived without weighs, as another review described. I contacted the manufacturer, they emailed me back for some info nearly immediately, and the weights were shipped out within one day, so we did not miss any fermenting time. That was good customer service and we were satisfied with the response.
The crock is well made, not overly heavy, but sturdy and consistently enameled. The appearance is traditional and blended in nicely with our kitchen.
Our first time using the crock was to make a simple sauerkraut. A quick wash and then we ran Star San sanitizer through it (very useful stuff for brewing, fermenting, etc). This vessel easily held two heads of cabbage after shredding. In 3 weeks, we had crunchy, bright sauerkraut made just to our tastes. Very easy and convenient to use. The size is great for small families and those who want manageable batches and skip the canning. The price was right, and we'll be using this often to make batches of sauerkraut and pickles.

We like the size/volume of the crock for our personal use

We hope to be fermenting Kimchie very soon! I am honing my skills on some smaller batches first. Highly recommended. Dan
