These are deep enough for DMF clutches. Good fit with bolt heads. The m14 bit shown was used with an air wrench on 2 inner CV joints (12 bolts total), finish is a little worn but none of the twisting my other bits showed with hand use.

As a do it yourself home mechanic I have become the family mechanic at least for my parents, brother, myself of course and a couple friends. Even the mailman paid me a little to replace his headlights which required removing the bumper. Anyway these sockets are a very specific tool required more and more for imports like german VW, Mercedes BMW etc. Ny brother has a passat that needed a new cv axle and i noticed the socket isnt just a star or an e-torx type. None of them lined up quite right so did some research and found they require these very specific triple square type sockets. There are several types of star looking sockets and I just named 3 including these so do your research and be careful not to wallow out the socket nut/bolt with the wrong type. And if you are like me just buy impact rated sockets. I can use them for both impact and non impact jobs but cant use the chrome ones for impact so why waste money on 2 separate sets? But these are fantastic. Held up VERY well using my impact gun and for a couple I couldnt get with that I used a hand ratchet and no slipping or stripping or rounding out so if you have a job that require these type of sockets, BUY THIS SET.

Didn't realize i would need these as much as i do. My VW SUV is riddled with these fasteners. I had never worked on German cars before and was used to standard and metric bolts. But this set has saved the day!
